Senator Bato dela Rosa must be the most stupid Senator we currently have in the Philippines. Why is a Senator of the Republic present and interfering in a legitimate police operation to serve a warrant of arrest for the capture of the fugitive Apollo Quiboloy who is accused of heinous crimes of human trafficking and sexual abuse of women and minors? The alleged human trafficker, along with 4 of his close-in-officers continues to evade the law to this day. Was not Senator Bato’s actions of interferance an attempt to influence the process and operation of our state agencies of which he is not anymore a member of? Can Senator Bato’s actions be construed as supporting and abetting fugitives of the law and therefore worthy of an appropriate charge in court? Iran takes control of seized smuggled fuel tanker worth over $5 million —— Iranian authorities have ordered the transfer of a recently seized oil tanker and its fuel cargo, valued at more than $5 million, into state ownership, according to the chief justice of Hormozgan Province. Mojtaba Ghahremani announced the decision on Friday, two days after the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) intercepted the foreign vessel near Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf. The tanker was carrying around 4 million liters of smuggled fuel, he said, noting that the move follows direct instructions from Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei to intensify efforts against fuel smuggling. DALLAS - A Dallas police officer was arrested recently for evading arrest in a case involving the solicitation of a prostitute. Sr. Cpl. Joshua Gonzalez turned himself in to the Dallas County jail on Tuesday to face charges. Gonzalez has been with the Dallas Police Department since August 2010 and is part of the Criminal Intelligence Division. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the alleged crime happened near Harry Hines Boulevard this past October. Dallas police officers in a marked patrol unit spotted a black Ford Fusion on the side of the road with two females who appeared to be prostitutes. As the officers approached, the vehicle sped off. The officers followed the vehicle for about 15 seconds with lights and sirens on before deciding to "let'em go," according to the affidavit. They shared the vehicle's license plate information with investigators. Investigators later learned that the vehicle was registered to the City of Dallas and assigned to the police department's Criminal Intelligence Division. Video cameras, police fleet records, cellphone records, and witness statements helped police identify Gonzalez as the driver. Police believe he "intentionally and knowingly evaded detention with a motor vehicle when he immediately fled from Dallas police officers who attempted to conduct a lawful traffic stop," the affidavit states. Gonzalez was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

But since the evidences have been confirmed and analysed forensically by the appointed authorities that ex-convict Senator Robin Padilla have actively assisted and abetted the escape of the fugitive-of-law Senator Bato dela Rosa, the authorities should now be able to arrest and charge him with obstruction of justice and harbouring of a criminal. The same can be said of the son-of-a-gun Senate President Allan Peter Cayetano for his part. This will be a test case for DOJ and the NBI in their resolve to speed up the course of justice against those who have supported impunity.

Federal law enforcement issued multiple lawful commands and verbal warnings, all of which were ignored. While trying to safely clear the area, a grey sedan sped down the road and boxed in Border Patrol. Border Patrol gave repeated warnings to the driver to back his car up which he refused. After spewing profanities at law enforcement, he proceeded to charge out of his car toward law enforcement and resisted arrest. During the arrest another US citizen assaulted the arresting agent, striking him in the head. Both were arrested. The operation resulted in the arrest of a criminal illegal alien from Mexico who has previously been arrested for assault. At Wednesday’s proceedings, Raphael Adakole, appearing for Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Adeyinka Fusika, urged the court to vacate the June 16 order that revoked Sowore’s bail after he failed to appear for trial on that date. The defence also asked the court to withdraw the bench warrant issued against the defendant and restore the original bail conditions previously granted to him. However, lead prosecutor, Akinlolu Kehinde SAN, opposed the application, arguing that the defendant had not presented sufficient and truthful facts to justify the court’s exercise of discretion in his favour. Adakole further appealed for Sowore’s release into the custody of his legal team pending the court’s decision, assuring the court that the defendant would continue to attend all future proceedings. He cited Sowore’s health condition as a basis for the request. Responding to the application, the prosecution said it would leave the matter to the court’s discretion but urged the judge to consider what it described as “the optics of the matter.” Justice Muhammad Umar stated that he had not yet reviewed all the affidavits and counter-affidavits filed by both parties and would require additional time to study the documents before making a decision. Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with this viral video circulating on social media in which he allegedly made references to criminal activities taking place along Jinja Road and within Banda. According to a statement issued by Kampala Metropolitan Police, the suspect, identified as Wafula Solomon, was arrested by officers from Banda Police Post on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at around midday. They’ve called for reinforcement are waiting for orders from the IGP to break into her home at Sangotedo where she is living with her baby and re-arrest. They have not produced any court order authorizing them to re-arrest Chioma. This is the result of years of lawlessness and impunity in the country. The IGP has overruled the order made on November 8, 2023 by Hon. Justice Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Lagos that my client must not be re-arrested or detained except on the express order of a court of competent jurisdiction if she is served with a summons and she fails to appear in court. They have not served Chioma with any summons or charge. They secretly filed a charge against her at the Federal High Court in Abuja (instead of Lagos where the case arose) which pending before Hon. Justice A. R. Mohammed. When the case in Abuja came up on 7th December, 2023, the police told the court that they were unable to serve her with the charge (this is a lie because she was never in hiding and no attempt was made to serve her). The police counsel then applied for adjournment to enable them file a motion to get leave (permission) to serve Chioma with the charge by substituted means. The case was adjourned to tomorrow 10th January, 2024 for the said motion. Justice Mohammed did not make any order for the arrest of Chioma. Indeed, the court said the issue of arrest warrant does not arise since the Defendant had not been served with the charge. Instead of going back to court to get the leave to serve her with the charge, the IGP ordered his men this morning to raid the house of my client and forcefully arrest her without a court order. How can the police file a charge in court and still disregard the orders of the same court? Is the IGP working for ERISCO FOODS LIMITED and Chief Eric Umeofia? The policemen in large numbers are still laying siege on the house. The head of the team told me pointedly that he can’t obey a court order when the IGP has given him a contrary directive. He said the PSO to the IGP called him directly. Is Nigeria a banana republic?
