the % of German cars with body panel and alignment issues is less than 1/10th of teslas..every Tesla owner I know has complained about panel gaps and alignment issues

Ugh I’m so tired of hearing about panel gaps

Panel gaps are like typographical errors to amateur literary critics. Easy for small minded “experts” to criticize, and embarrassing for the maker, but that’s about it. And little to do with quality.

Both my BMW's have alignment issues... I still bought them though.

Seriously, people, just look closer at cars in the next parking lot you pass through. You should see panel gap issues on a lot of the cars. You hardly even have to try, they're so obvious. This was never ever a Tesla-only thing.

I noticed a Bentley suv with a misaligned back door on the road recently. It’s universal.

Parked next to a late model Merc convertible the gaps on that were a complete 💩 show from front to back. For some reason that’s acceptable 🤷‍♂️

this was a fancy wet dream. any manufacturing product with such complex and sizeable moving parts, is impossible to perfectly aligned for 100% products.
