German MG3 vs American M240B

MG3/MG42 are iconic guns.

The MG is one of the scariest weapons on earth.

With the MG3, those helmets, and the camouflage uniforms, could almost be 1944.

I am under no impression that being under machine-gun fire is anything but horrifying. But the very sound, of 1200 rounds of "Eat this, AND CHOKE ON IT ASSHOLE!!" is on a whole other level. The MG3 is a fucking beast!

M240 is a Belgian FN MAG, The US has the rights and does manifacture its own under license but it is a Belgian weapon and I would argue the best LMG ever made.

Germans are far superior engineers/builders. That MG3 is an absolute beast, much better balance.

The American 240B sounds like - a certain shooting that was covered up, a lot of the audio sounds exactly like that.

The sound of the MG3 is reminiscent of the MG42. An absurdly effective weapon.

The FN MAG is a more reliable machinegun, if slightly heavier which is funny because it's not that much more heavy and has about 4 times the sustained volume of fire.

FN 240B is a Belgian gun. So technically the video is correct when it captions it as [America "M240B"] and not as "American" but the description in the tweet is misleading.

Comoletely different leagues. The german is in the World Cup and the other is on the school league of southern Nebraska.

I mean the M240 is just an FN MAG which is just a belt fed B.A.R.

Interesting, as the MG3 is built by Germany and the M240B is made by Fabrique Nationale in Herstal, Belgium. The M240B is an adopted weapon, although I'd love to see that MG3 going against the M1919. The M1919 was outlawed because it spit death too fast.

I've fired an MG42 (not the MG3 braked version) a few times, its an amazing machine gun.
