DNA is a joke! Thank you, Marvin and Jamie, for this elegant, to the point and easy to understand informations. Follow Next Level (Marvin is the spokesperson) on Twitter: @NL_Magazin Ask Marvin's Nexiqa More? Marvin's Website:

Why do sequencing platforms boast that they're 99.99% accurate? 🤥😄 I mean, if someone reads their manual, it says consensus-based. That's the deal. If you blind them, it's 0% success. Deal broken.😱

Wow

Marvin is good isn't he...

Yet again chatgpt tends to support the point @JamieAA_Again is making. It seems in so many cases DNA samples are far from "pure" and that's where the issue arises. It would be interesting to know what thresholds were used in this example. I don't know for sure, but I suspect by lowering thresholds you can capture more and more potential fathers. I guess this would simulate what you might find in the real world when trying to match DNA samples to suspects from crime scenes. However, would be interested in Jamie's opinion on what he thinks of matches (say in paternity cases) where a pure and unadulterated sample is given voluntarily. Do you think matches in these cases would be valid ?

Lol, what? Probably nothing. 🤡 Dna paternity testing seems worse than even the PCR BS.

Duuuuuuuuude… did you find any that had like a boatload of mothers… but tht person didn’t have any kids… and then you found out they stole her eggs and sold them on the black market? That would be wild yo

The data are obsolete and considers the study from 2006. Grok:

I’m assuming they are all gathered and wearing camo to go hunt for the fathers of their many, many, children. Hard to find.
