Carney made a massive mistake. And it all has to do with timing. We’re going to be paying for it. He started negotiating way too early and making deals too early with Europe & publicly announcing them. He did things in a reverse order. The first thing he should have done is signed a deal with Donald Trump. By doing so, the tariffs are set, deals are negotiated THEN you launch the counter-US deals (not tariffs) where you will no longer be buying US products when it comes to defense spending. He & the EU should & could have done this afterwards. It will likely cost us as Trump and his administration will not like this at all. Trump will see it as an indirect attack on US companies.
