The dugout video isn't a good look, but he explained himself pretty well here. Canady is an adult getting paid over a million dollars a year. She screwed up in a tight spot, and got an ass-chewing as any other professional might. She looks like she handled it and performed well.

This is why I want my granddaughters to play for him!

Love his honesty and I also love how her teammates had her back! Won it for her and they’re playing for each other. That’s how you pick up your teammates! Best of luck to them for the finals! I’ve had the privilege to watch these games the last couple of nights.

Anybody making a big deal about a pitcher shaking off a sign and throwing what they want--and their manager having a discussion about it---hasn't watched a lot of baseball/softball. Happens at every level, every day.
