African Christians believe in prophecy than in hardwork. They like when the pastor says this year is your year of breakthrough. Then they go and sit down and be waiting for the breakthrough. God helps who helps himself

I have said this countless times: if they have a Heavenly Father whose grace abounds, why pray before He does anything for you? I didn’t pray to my own dad before he did all that he did for me growing up. Davido didn’t have to pray to his dad every day to get his attention and care, let alone 'God.' It’s all manipulation—selective teaching, fear and guilt, promises of rewards, and the like.
