@TrekProdigyRoom @StarTrekOnPPlus Keep making physical media even if it’s a small batch and I’ll keep buying. Lossless BluRay is leaps and bounds better than streaming when it comes to A/V quality

🤎 The Doctor is Older in #StarTrek: #StarfleetAcademy! Woah! The Doctor is older in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy! How did that happen? How does an Emergency Medical Hologram get older? Surely he is just a computer, right? As you would expect, Star Trek has an answer to this.

🖖 NEW - No #StarTrek In Production For The First Time In Over a Decade! For the first time in over a decade, no Star Trek TV series is in production. Nor has any new series been greenlit currently. With the wrap on #StarfleetAcademy Season 2 in February 2026, it means no new Trek is in production. This leaves the #StarTrekUniverse in a worrying state.

Jimmy wants to know if the future will be Star Trek or Mad Max. I turned that into a discussion about whether people living in the Empire knew they were in the bad part of Star Wars. Then I did Chewbacca. This is why I have a podcast. Full episode on my YouTube channel.

I love RLM and there's still merit to some of the stuff they said about the prequels but yeah half their wants for the sequels came true and they were all bad choices. Also they seemed to lack foresight by praising the Star Trek reboot as being what the prequels should have been and to what precedent it was setting for the future of Star Trek. The irony being they would spend the next decade lamenting the path Star Trek took away from slow, thought provoking, dialog heavy conundrums when they praised the reboot for turning Star Trek into a fun but shallow lens flair filled, shaky camera action movie. A reboot that set the first stone of that path towards Discovery and Academy. And when the sequels took a lot of their wants for Star Wars and it was bad, they soft balled it and ignored or glossed over aspects they would have dedicated 20 minutes to for the prequels as "eh just enjoy the ride" which is the kind of thought process they complained about in stuff like Nerd Crew.

🚀 Sisko’s SECRET Galaxy-class In #StarTrek Did you know Captain Sisko eventually commanded a Galaxy-class starship? Following the events of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Benjamin Sisko’s story continued in the Star Trek novel continuity. Eventually, he returned to Starfleet. His new command was the USS Robinson, NCC-71842; a Galaxy-class starship just like the legendary Enterprise-D. But unlike Picard’s Enterprise, the Robinson was sent on a long-term exploration mission into the distant Gamma Quadrant. And yes, that meant Sisko was heading back through the Bajoran Wormhole. The Robinson became Sisko’s home as he embarked on an entirely new chapter of his life, years after his disappearance into the Celestial Temple. It’s one of the most fascinating Galaxy-class ships that never appeared on screen. And we’ve covered the entire history of Sisko and the USS Robinson over on Trek Central! 🖖 NEW #StarTrek Movie Updates from #SDCC 2026! A NEW Star Trek Movie is coming! Well, we know that. It was announced in November 2025. However, we now have new information from the Writers and directors. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley spoke at San Diego Comic Con 2026, during Collider’s Directors panel. The pair confirmed that a script for Paramount’s next Star Trek feature film is in progress. They’re both very excited about it and revealed people will be surprised. As it’s also been confirmed in the past, the upcoming movie won’t feature characters we’ve seen in past Star Trek movies. Instead, there will be a new take on that. However, the most interesting detail comes from the statement that the movie takes place a little further into the future than we’ve been before. Before anyone panics, this could mean a few things. Of course, it could suggest we’re going even further than the likes of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. However, I think the Directors perhaps mean into the future past where the Kelvin Movies take place. So perhaps closer to The Next Generation, but sometime before that. Let me know what you think!
