We did scenario training similar in small room once and I dropped the suspect immediately. Instructor BERATED me “WHY DID YOU SHOOT? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” To the point I earnestly believed I screwed up b/c no one else engaged…then I caught on he just wanted me to articulate it.
