Microsoft teases a faster and configurable context menu (right-click menu) for Windows 11 after years of complaints! Marcus Ash, who leads Design and Research for Windows and Devices, says Microsoft is working on making context menus faster, simpler by default, and configurable to what you use most. That last part is huge. Windows 11’s context menu was supposed to fix the cluttered Windows 10 right-click menu. Instead, it became slower, padded, inconsistent, and still messy. You often need “Show more options” just to reach the old menu, which defeats the whole point of redesigning it. Now Microsoft is taking the same approach it used with Start and taskbar: give users control. Resizable Start. Movable taskbar. Smaller taskbar. Customizable Start sections. And now, configurable context menus. This is the Windows 11 reset users wanted 🥳

This 1880s Sun Index Typewriter uses a selector and lever instead of keys. It’s mechanical "search and select" 140 years before the first dropdown menu.

Working on a new Command Menu to surface more context where you need it: - Colors in all formats. Enter to copy oklch or cmd+c for other format - Shortcut to copy cli command for components - Remembers your color format & package manager Small UX wins. Huge impact for docs.

Stables swaps. To take advantage of this new feature, simply utilize the standard Buy and Sell options located in the main menu. Input the appropriate contract addresses for USDC or USDT as needed. Soon we will be adding a special menu for stables. Enjoy hassle-free stable swaps! 🦄🤖

CSS is mind-blowing 🤯 Browser does what it can to keep the menus in view. Even when you scroll. Zero JavaScript (Aside from the Draggable part) This is the important HTML 👇 (anchor) <button id="trigger" popovertarget="menu"> <div popover="auto" id="menu" anchor="trigger">
