Yesterday (4/22/26), deputies and FHP Orlando troopers responded to multiple reports of hit-and-run crashes involving a reckless driver on I-4, starting in Seminole County. Witnesses reported the suspect vehicle hit a guardrail, lost a front wheel and continued driving, exiting I-4 and getting stuck at a construction site off Shell Road in DeBary. Deputies detained the driver, Eric Drewry (DOB 8/28/1978), who appeared to be under the influence. He resisted and kicked a deputy while being escorted into the back of a patrol vehicle. While being questioned by a trooper about the crash, Drewry responded "What crash?" While being transported to the hospital Drewry asked deputies multiple times to be released in exchange for $2,000. Instead, he was charged with resisting and battery on law enforcement by VSO, and DUI, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and refusal to submit to DUI testing (subsequent offense) by FHP.

Rubio that Roberto Moncada, born in New York in 1950, isn’t a U.S. citizen by birthright because his Nicaraguan father had full diplomatic immunity while working at Nicaragua’s UN mission. At least logic is being used instead of automatically granting Birth Right Citizenship.

My dear friends, brothers and sisters On behalf of my sisters and the entire Akpata Family, I want to express our most sincere gratitude for the overwhelming love and support shown to my family as we laid to rest, our dear Dad, Granddad, Brother, Uncle and Father-in-law, Dr Henry Omorogieva Akpata on Friday 16 May 2025. As many of you know, I was very close to my Dad, and even though he lived well past 80 years of age, the pain of his demise was still quite intense. My dear friends, brothers and sisters On behalf of my sisters and the entire Akpata Family, I want to express our most sincere gratitude for the overwhelming love and support shown to my family as we laid to rest, our dear Dad, Granddad, Brother, Uncle and Father-in-law, Dr Henry Omorogieva Akpata on Friday 16 May 2025. As many of you know, I was very close to my Dad, and even though he lived well past 80 years of age, the pain of his demise was still quite intense. It has thus been a roller coaster of emotions for me - since 10 January, when he passed. This situation was, however, mitigated by the outpouring of love and support from all of you. It has simply been mind-blowing and indeed inspiring. I am deeply grateful and deeply humbled. Without a doubt, your visits, calls, prayers, gifts, and wise counsel have helped, in no small measure, to assuage my pain and sense of loss. 🚨 'It's a hate crime': Jewish father targeted in Montreal attack, brother-in-law speaks out A Jewish man was targeted in a brazen daylight assault last week at a Montreal park while with his children. His brother-in-law says his relative was the victim of a hate crime and is calling on political leaders to address rising antisemitism. A brutal attack on a father in front of his three children occurred last week in Montreal. Video of the assault went viral online and several politicians, including Premier François Legault, Prime Minister Mark Carney and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, all condemned this violent attack. It's worth noting that while Poilievre reacted quickly to this attack, Prime Minister Carney chose to wish everyone a happy International Cat Day on social media before he eventually commented on the matter the following day. On Tuesday, we learned a man has been arrested by Montreal police. This father had never missed any of his son’s baseball games in his life. He had to miss this tournament because his best friend was getting married and he was a groomsman. He woke up at 3:30AM and drove 100 MPH that Sunday morning to try to and at least make the Sunday games after missing the Saturdays games. And, of course this was the only tournament all year that his son’s team lost their first game on Sunday, so he didn't make it in time because the first game was at 8 and there was no second game. When he pulled up his son saw him and he ran full speed and jumped into his arms and wouldn’t let go. Dad said his son told him, “daddy, you can’t ever miss again. I love you so much. Not having you with me this weekend made me feel so empty, please never miss again, I'm so thankful your my daddy!” 🥹 His wife filmed that video. ❤️ I remember those days well. Speeding like a bat out of hell to make it on time. I have always made my kid’s games and activities. It’s what I live for. And the few times I had to miss, I felt like I let them down.
