He really thought a temperature gauge was going to override a trespass warning. The moment he started chanting for the police department and air-ing out his ex’s business in the back of the cruiser, it ceased to be a termination and became a full-blown psychological thriller. Shoutout to those officers for having the patience of absolute saints.

Police catch up with a hit and run suspect waiting at McDonald's in the drive thru. From burgers to jail in the blink of an eye. Kent Police Department officers located a Cadillac Escalade tied to a recent hit-and-run. The driver, identified as Justin, was spotted ordering food at a McDonald's drive-thru. Officers instructed him to park the vehicle so they could conduct an investigation. While Justin initially complied and exited the SUV, the interaction quickly escalated. Justin repeatedly ignored commands to keep his hands out of his pockets and attempted to walk away from officers, claiming his son was inside the restaurant. After being informed he was under arrest for obstruction, Justin pulled away as an officer attempted to secure his arms. Despite multiple warnings that he would be tased, Justin continued to resist. Officers took him down to the pavement with some questionable strikes to gain compliance before successfully securing him in handcuffs. Following the arrest, Justin was asked if he would take a field sobriety test and he declined. He was informed that a warrant was going to be issued to take a blood sample. He was subsequently transported and booked into the Kent Jail. Justin faces multiple charges, including: Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Resisting Arrest Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer Following his booking, officers did get the search warrant to obtain a blood sample and determine his exact blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) at the time of the incident was above the legal limit.

Officers from the Fort Myers Police Department in Florida were dispatched to a local Hooters restaurant. The manager had called the police to request that a male customer be formally trespassed from the property. According to the manager, the customer had been causing a disturbance the previous week by "running his mouth" to staff and other patrons. Although he was asked to leave multiple times during that prior incident, he initially refused, only fleeing when the manager went inside to call the police. One week later, the man returned to the restaurant, prompting management to call law enforcement to have him officially banned. When officers approached the man at the bar, they informed him that management wanted him trespassed. The situation quickly became tense as the customer grew highly argumentative. He began hurling verbal insults at the business manager. He repeatedly questioned why he was being forced to leave and continues to cause a disturbance. The officers repeatedly warned him to calm down, settle his tab, and stop creating a disturbance, noting that his disruptive behavior could escalate the situation into an arrest for causing a scene or breach of peace. After the man finally handed over his information to settle his bill and process the trespass warning, officers ran his name through their database. The system flagged an active, outstanding county warrant for his arrest. When officers went to place him in handcuffs, the man was shocked, repeatedly asking what the warrant was for. Officers informed him that the system indicated a charge related to the illegal possession of a firearm. The man strongly denied the charge, claiming: He had never been stopped or caught with a firearm. He did not own any firearms. He had an employee waiting outside who could drive his work truck home. The responding officers maintained a professional demeanor, explaining that while the warrant was confirmed in their system, a secondary verification process—including a fingerprint match—would be conducted at the county booking facility to ensure he was indeed the correct individual listed on the warrant. He was then placed into the police cruiser and transported to jail. There are no current public updates to this arrest available.

Unhinged trans student completely loses it over pronouns earns a trip to jail for battery. A University of Central Florida (UCF) Police officers were originally dispatched to the UnionWest student housing building in downtown Orlando to investigate a report regarding a stolen vehicle. While on-site working the vehicle theft, officers were suddenly drawn into a loud, public dispute involving an individual named Jay Lee, who was screaming at building security staff about unauthorized kids on the property. When officers stepped in to de-escalate the situation, the primary officer warned Lee to lower his voice, stating he would place him in handcuffs and transport him to a facility under Florida's Baker Act due to a clear mental health crisis. The confrontation quickly reached a boiling point when the officer referred to Lee using the masculine pronouns over the radio. Lee exploded, screaming at the top of his lungs: "Just say the right pronoun!" and "Just say she!" Refusing to get on the ground, Lee retreated to a mailroom door as the primary officer drew his OC (pepper) spray. Despite repeated warnings that he was about to be sprayed or tased, Lee continued to yell, pull out his phone to record, and resist compliance. When officers moved in to physically secure his arms, a chaotic struggle broke out near the lobby turnstiles. As officers forced Lee against a reception desk to get the cuffs on, he actively fought back. According to the officers' post-arrest debrief captured on camera: Lee rotated around and threw a closed fist at the arresting officer. He grabbed the officer's uniform microphone and attempted to rip it off, stretching it out. He threw a direct kick that struck an officer once they moved toward a second elevator bank. After multiple backup units arrived to help pin his legs and finish the handcuffing process, Lee was escorted outside to a patrol vehicle. Officers confirmed he was being booked on the following felony charges: Resisting an Officer with Violence Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) While Lee claimed it was all a "big misunderstanding" and that the police escalated the situation, officers noted that hd would likely be placed into protective custody at the jail due to his high level of distress. This is yet another example of this clear mental illness and just how disconnected individuals like this are from the real world. You can only help that he gets some real help that brings him back into reality so that he can live the rest of his life without episode like this or disillusion.

Two rogue cops violate this journalist's one officer losing his job and an undisclosed settlement. A citizen journalist named Roland Reyes was recording a traffic accident scene from a public sidewalk for a local community Facebook page when he was approached by Lake Jackson Police Officers Johnny Cagle and Oscar Mendoza. Officer Cagle demanded that Reyes leave the scene and identify himself, falsely claiming that taking photographs of vehicles and license plates in public was illegal. Reyes knowing his rights refused to leave, asserting his right to document the scene from public property. It was clear by the response from the officers that they had zero knowledge of the laws and the constitutional rights that they swore to protect. Seeing that Reyes was going to stand his ground and not be intimidated by these tyrants, without ever stating that Reyes was under arrest or commanding him to show his hands, the officers tackled him to the ground. The handling of the arrest drew immediate backlash: Following the scuffle, Officer Cagle claimed injuries and took the ambulance to the hospital. Reyes, the victim, was handcuffed, transported in a squad car, and kept tied to a hospital bed during treatment before being released an hour later. The City of Lake Jackson issued a statement admitting the officers acted on an "erroneous understanding of law" and that Reyes was legally filming. Officer Cagle resigned from the force before he could be formally terminated, while Officer Mendoza was suspended without pay and ordered to undergo remedial civil rights training. Reyes subsequently retained a lawyer to file a civil lawsuit against the officers and the police department for the violation of his First and Fourth Amendment rights. His case was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Amazon worker refuses to leave work station after getting fired. Earns a parting gift of handcuffs. Officers with the Secaucus Police Department responded to a call regarding an employee who was refusing to vacate the premises after being terminated from his job at On Track Delivery Services, an Amazon-affiliated delivery service provider located at 50 Hartz Way in Secaucus, New Jersey. Upon entering the logistics facility, officers discovered 59-year-old George Fraser of Jersey City, New Jersey, actively working on the package sorting line despite having been terminated by facility management. When officers instructed Fraser to gather his personal belongings and exit the building, Fraser maintained that he was still legally employed and refused to leave without receiving physical termination paperwork directly from company officials. Officers advised him multiple times that remaining on private property after being told to leave by management constituted unlawful trespassing, regardless of paper documentation. Following repeated refusals to comply with instructions to walk out voluntarily, officers moved to take Fraser into custody. A struggle ensued as Fraser resisted officers' efforts to place him in handcuffs. After officers secured him in handcuffs on the warehouse floor, Fraser was escorted outside and evaluated by Hudson Regional Hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel at the scene and was cleared with nothing wrong with him. He was ultimately charged with Defiant Trespassing (N.J.S.A. 2C:18-3B) and Resisting Arrest (N.J.S.A. 2C:29-2A(3)) before being released on a complaint summons. Losing his job clearly was not enough drama for this guy as he basically said, hold my beer.

A teen who was assaulted and slammed by a Warren police officer during booking has filed a $50 million lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed this week by Fieger Law. Matthew Rodriguez, 48, an officer with 14 years on the force, was charged Friday with assault and battery charges. Warren police announced Monday that he had been fired According to the lawsuit, the teen suffered physical and mental damage due to excessive force, and the city of Warren failed to properly train the officer. "Officer Matthew, with the specific intent to intimidate and/or harass Plaintiff, as a result of his race and/or ethnicity, caused physical contact with Plaintiff by striking him in the head and/or face with a fist and pulling him off the ground by his hair," the lawsuit reads. The lawsuit also says that the two other officers in the video failed to intervene and help the teen. “This is one of the most flagrant cases of police misconduct I’ve seen in my entire career as a trial attorney. The sheer violence and disregard for human life that these three officers showed is despicable and cannot be tolerated," said James Harrington of Fieger Law. The incident happened early this week at the Warren police department. The video shows the officer punching and grabbing the 19-year-old by his locs before slamming & launching him into his cell. Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer says an investigation was launched after the two officers in the video stepped up and told a supervisor about the incident. One officer was telling Rodriguez "That's enough" multiple times in an attempt to make the officer stop, Dwyer said. At first, they did not know why the officer was attacking him. Within a week, the officer was arrested, charged, and put on unpaid administrative leave, said Dwyer. The officer in the video also was out of policy and was not wearing bodycam. The officer has a lengthy history of alleged accessive force. He currently has two pending lawsuits.

Queens, New York — Police Officer Anthony Rock and his partner, Police Officer Brett Boller, were flagged down by the driver of a bus. The driver requested their assistance for a physical altercation that was occurring on the bus. As the officers approached the bus, the front door opened and 22-year-old Devin Spraggins exited. With their attention directed to Spraggins by civilian witnesses and the bus driver, the officers attempted to speak with him to investigate the incident on the bus. Spraggins, however, shoved Police Officer Boller and fled. The officers pursued Spraggins on foot. Police Officer Boller caught up with him and a physical struggle ensued. During the struggle with Police Officer Boller, Spraggins produced a firearm and discharged it, striking the officer in the right groin. Spraggins then pointed the firearm at Police Officer Boller before fleeing the scene on foot. Ballistic evidence recovered from the scene revealed that Spraggins discharged at least one SH0T from his firearm. As Spraggins fled the scene, he turned to Police Officer Rock and pointed the firearm in his direction. As a result, Police Officer Rock discharged two SH0TS from his service firearm. Spraggins was not struck by the gunfire and continued to flee the location on foot. Police Officer Boller was transported from the scene to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was treated for a wound to his right groin. Spraggins was subsequently apprehended without incident. For his actions, Spraggins was arrested and charged with Attempted M-rder in the First Degree (of a Police Officer), Attempted M-rder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Aggravated Assault Upon a Police Officer, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (loaded firearm), Menacing a Police Officer, and related charges.

A routine traffic stop quickly escalated after a driver refused to provide identification and actively resisted officers. The entire encounter—from the initial tailgating violation to the final arrest—was captured on bodycam footage. The officer initiated the stop after Joe reportedly followed her squad car at an unsafe distance while constantly honking his horn and flashing his lights. Throughout the encounter, Joe was extremely confrontational, aggressive, and uncooperative: He repeatedly used profanity and hurled derogatory insults at the officer. He refused to identify himself or provide his driver's license. He instructed his young child, who was a passenger in the vehicle, to get out and scream for help. He claimed that the officer was the one breaking the law by using her cell phone while driving. When a backup officer (a supervisor) arrived on the scene, Joe continued his combative behavior. He argued that honking his horn was not illegal and demanded to know what specific law he had broken. When the officers attempted to place Joe under arrest, he actively resisted. He refused to exit his vehicle, screamed that the officers were choking him (which the video evidence contradicts), and had to be physically removed and secured in the back of the police cruiser. Joe's actions during the traffic stop led to several specific criminal charges: 1. Following Too Closely / Unlawful Use of a Horn The initial reason for the stop was a traffic violation. Under most state traffic laws (including Wisconsin, where this incident took place), drivers must maintain a safe following distance. Furthermore, vehicle horns are legally intended only to warn of immediate danger, not to harass or signal displeasure. Joe's continuous honking and tailgating constituted a valid reason for a traffic stop. 2. Refusal to Identify / Provide a License While Joe correctly noted that citizens do not always have to identify themselves to police, traffic stops are a major exception. When operating a motor vehicle, a driver is legally required to present a valid driver's license upon the request of a law enforcement officer. Refusing to do so is a secondary offense and prevents the officer from issuing a standard citation. 3. Resisting and Obstructing an Officer Joe was charged with resisting/obstructing an officer. Legally, "obstructing" includes knowingly giving false information or refusing to comply with lawful commands (such as refusing to sign a ticket or show ID). "Resisting" applies to his physical non-compliance when officers ordered him out of the vehicle and his subsequent physical struggle against being handcuffed and placed in the squad car. 4. Disorderly Conduct Joe's loud, profane screaming in a public space, combined with triggering a disruptive situation by forcing his child to scream for help, falls under disorderly conduct. This charge applies to behavior that is violent, abusive, indecent, profane, boisterous, or otherwise unreasonably disruptive. 5. Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer During the physical struggle to place Joe under arrest, his actions escalated to physical resistance that resulted in a charge of battery to a law enforcement officer. This is a felony charge in many jurisdictions, applying when an individual intentionally causes bodily harm (or takes actions likely to cause harm) to an officer acting in their official capacity.

Squatter claims Adverse Possession on 577k home. Goes full Karen fighting with police. The incident began when a local real estate agent arrived at a bank-owned, foreclosed property in Cape Coral, Florida to show it to a potential client. The home was actively listed on the MLS and legally owned by Select Portfolio Servicing. However, when the agent got to the door, they discovered the lockbox had been forcibly hacked off the handle and the locks completely changed. Inside was a woman who claimed she and her husband had legally claimed the home through "adverse possession with title," arguing the property was abandoned. The agent immediately contacted the Cape Coral Police Department to report the illegal occupation. When officers arrived, the situation quickly went off the rails. Believing she was completely above the law, the woman refused to cooperate, yelling adverse possession saying she could not open the front door. She repeatedly shouted that the officers had no legal authority over her and that she was immune to their commands. The moment officers moved in to lawfully detain her for investigation, the woman completely lost control, exhibiting truly unhinged behavior: She began shrieking at the top of her lungs, flailing, and physically fighting against the officers, falsely screaming that she was the one being assaulted. As police worked to secure her in handcuffs, her aggression peaked when she intentionally spat directly into an officer's face—escalating her charges to a felony. The unhinged behavior didn't stop once she was caught. While in transit to the car and once in the car, she continuously managed to slip out of her handcuffs and physically combat the transport officers, forcing police to use additional physical restraints just to safely get her to jail. With her dogs handed over to animal control, the woman was hauled off to booking. What started as an attempt to illegally occupy a foreclosure ended with a laundry list of serious charges, including: Burglary of a Dwelling Trespassing Resisting an Officer with Violence Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer (for spitting on the officer) Great job by these officers for battling this one down to the station. I honestly was surprised how much of a battle she put up.
