In my day, autistic kids dressed with more style.

This is like on the little rascals when they’d put a “KICK ME” sign on a kids back but somehow worse

It's not right to make that your child's whole identity. Such a shame.

Ironing those on all my wife's work shirts as a prank

Yeah... don't do this to your neurodivergent kids. We are more than just our diagnosis and daily struggles. This is why I cannot stand "Autism moms". My mom used to like to remind me how doctors said I'd never fully function on my own and have a real life. And even with that, she didn't get me the help I needed, just made me feel like a burden. My son also is Autistic and he already struggles in school with anxieties, even being in a class geared towards neurodivergent kids. I would never ever do this to him.

As a disabled girlie you really shouldn’t make his disability his whole personality by putting it on all the clothes

I’ll take parents who make their child’s disability a fetish for $500, Alex.

interesting choice by autism moms to only use garish and clashing colors

This is the autistic male version of that girl dad that posted his daughter.

mind u dont autistic people not fuck with the whole puzzle piece symbol anyways... like didnt they change it to the infinity one instead

Was never bullied for having autism but my mom when she found out I was autistic started doing the whole awareness thing. And growing up I didn’t see it as a helpful thing to me to this day I hate the puzzle piece and a lot of the autism awareness stuff so bad.

That retard wears 3 shirts a day?!

marking him as if the normgroids can't sniff out being slightly weird after 0.2 seconds of stepping into a room

the puzzle piece on his shirt like he’s broken somehow

I wouldn't mind wearing that

you’d hope itd be a teaching experience for the neurotypical kids to get used to the fact autistic kids exist. having to hide being autistic my whole life was awful & actually led to MORE bullying than being upfront about it, because the traits were visible no matter what

Does not need anything. They get bullied abyway for not actong or speaking like everybody else.

And add a hard, sharp edged patch to a cotton shirt, that won’t be sensory badness I’m sure

Moms of autistic boys can’t resist using their sons’ disability for clout

I wore my cotton summer uniform dress even in the winter because the woolen winter pinafore was too scratchy and that was enough to mark me as an autist, let alone a patch lol

Great now the kids whole personality is his autism just like hers is

“Mental retardation, has become cool, and something to be proud of.” Is not something I ever thought I would hear someone say.

Real data : 1.7% of the world's population is neurodivergent Scrape data from social media : 20% of the world's population is neurodivergent Even search engines will often through you the scrape info, rather than the real data, because of how AI search engines work.

Eh, these days kids aren't going after people who openly Express the fact that they are autistic, they go for the kids that are trying to hide that they are. It's harder to bully someone that accepts themself compared to someone that worries about what others think

x character limit, but here's my opinion:

I have autism to a very small degree and I hate that stupid symbol. My mom would fucking show off that symbol all the time

I think it’s cute

lol it’s kinda cute depending how old they are

Besides everyone agreeing that it's a bad idea, the puzzle piece is far from being a good representation for autistic people, it symbolizes that they're "broken and need to be repaired" or that "something in them is missing", which is not true.

At that age the last thing you want to do is stand out. Students will be able to tell if the kid is autistic pretty quickly. They won’t need a decal to sniff it out.

Yeah this looks like something “autism speaks” would suggest

Other kids just don’t even give a shit at that age
