I wish he could understand that most American Jews don’t care if he has his views. But the way he projects his views ends up fueling Jew Hatred, and that’s what we have a problem with. As a Jew in America, because I am a Jew yes, but also because I am American and uphold American values - I believe we have a right to feel safe to practice our religion freely. Right now, in this hostile climate, that right of ours is infringed upon. Yes, what is happening to people in war-torn Gaza is awful but, Jews are the ONLY communities - not Russians, not Ukrainians for example - being chastised and ostracized because of a war happening thousands of miles away. AND the same people engaging in this rhetoric, are the same that promote Jews aren’t from Israel - yet they are directly associating us with Israel. Point is, people like him have power, and with power comes responsibility. I wish he and his circle would be more cognizant of how what they say is directly impacting every day lives of Americans who want to practice their religion freely and safely, and be as they are on college campuses.
