I am sooooo freaking grateful for this man right here. He led the way to make one of my dreams come true. When FOX made me stop fighting in 2004 that demand reallllllllly messed with my soul, my spirit. Plus, I was going through a brutal divorce. Eventually I said, “instead of you just sitting here waiting on me like you’re my mom waiting for me to finish soccer practice, hop in the ring with me and my team and lets turn football into a fight.” Jared trained his ass off like he was a fighter, got his hands VIOLENTTTT, really violent, did a ton of Greco Roman wrestling and BJJ drills open up his hips while lowering his base and getting his leverage to be a true weapon. But more then anything Jared viewed every play as a round and he knew already had nworked harder than anyone he’d line up across so he could swing away as the men across from him would break. Welp, Jared went out that next year and for the first time led the league with 15 sacks and he announced to the world and over again it was because he trained in mixed martial arts with us. Soon after allllll these players and teams called asking if we can do the same thing with them as Jared. He started an amazing movement. In 1988, while still in high school, Faan bought his first motorbike, a Yamaha XT500, for R400. Pretty over catching flak for just existing on peanut's server. let's recap the "yOuRe RuInInG tHe SeRvEr" narrative: - Spent a lot of dedicated time helping teach/decorate/guide new people through the game - Suggested the SAM site solution to peanut in S2 (which fixed the problem for the whole server) - The imbalance of team numbers was a "fun problem" so I suggested the naval war as numbers are not nearly as important and everyone will have more fun doing it - Farmed my ass off to not only build a big cool fantasy base for Peanut in S1, but also to supply materials for multiple RPers and others who were struggling to get stuff on their own across every wipe so far. - Coupled with the point above, before peanut had pheetus to farm for him, I also secretly supplied his team with nearly a box of low grade and cloth overnight (really difficult resources to get) so they could continue playing with meds instead of needing to spend a day grinding for them. I never told him or anyone but everyone on stream new we did it to support the nut. - Went out of my way on multiple occasions to go on rescue missions to save people from the deep sea, cargo, and oil rigs I understand that people only see things through the point of view of their streamer, and don't know what I'm doing on my stream, but I spent the entire current wipe just hanging out with my friend, recruiting noobs to do silly ninja role play with us while teaching them about the game. Pretty over catching flak for just existing on peanut's server. let's recap the "yOuRe RuInInG tHe SeRvEr" narrative: - Spent a lot of dedicated time helping teach/decorate/guide new people through the game - Suggested the SAM site solution to peanut in S2 (which fixed the problem for the whole server) - The imbalance of team numbers was a "fun problem" so I suggested the naval war as numbers are not nearly as important and everyone will have more fun doing it - Farmed my ass off to not only build a big cool fantasy base for Peanut in S1, but also to supply materials for multiple RPers and others who were struggling to get stuff on their own across every wipe so far. - Coupled with the point above, before peanut had pheetus to farm for him, I also secretly supplied his team with nearly a box of low grade and cloth overnight (really difficult resources to get) so they could continue playing with meds instead of needing to spend a day grinding for them. I never told him or anyone but everyone on stream new we did it to support the nut. - Went out of my way on multiple occasions to go on rescue missions to save people from the deep sea, cargo, and oil rigs I understand that people only see things through the point of view of their streamer, and don't know what I'm doing on my stream, but I spent the entire current wipe just hanging out with my friend, recruiting noobs to do silly ninja role play with us while teaching them about the game. One morning, without asking, I got a DM telling me I was unrestricted and could use guns, so I took an AK out to the deep sea and killed scientists (poorly) and it caused the entire server to lose their minds. Getting enough oxygen and water into the tunnel, setting up the logistics (soldiers need ammo! Thank you so much. To be honest, regarding the decision to do this show, first of all, thank you to the staff for trusting me and Sea for trusting us enough to let us go up there. Because I admit that at first, it was very risky, and personally, I didn't have much confidence in this performance at all in the beginning. But well, we are the type of people who… what do you call it? Sea always says it, we both are like pit bulls; once we bite, we don't let go. We kept fighting until today, and it passed smoothly and safely. A huge part of this that I must thank is a team I just got to know: the Bangkok Aerial Space team. We are thinking of robots all wrong. Why a $1,500 robot is far more important to buy than a $20,000 one. And why it will pay for itself within a year. First of all, for the last eight years I've been a Silicon Valley housewife. Picking the kids up from school. Doing a variety of tasks taking care of them from feeding them to laundry. And I've already bought a $20,000 Neo from 1X and have built the most complete list on X of the robotics industry. Just to set the tone for this conversation. We must ask ourselves "what is the goal of a robot?" before we go into why typical American homeowners might want one, and shell out quite a bit of money for one, like the Neo. I grew up in Silicon Valley back when it was all orchards and the farmers taught me "pick the low hanging fruit first." What is the low hanging fruit in the American home? Laundry? Cleaning the toilets or your home? Watering the plants? Bringing you a beer? Nope. It is the preparation of food. Yesterday I got a new Posha robot, and the attached video with founder Raghav Gupta gets into depth about what the $1,500 robot does. Cooks meals. Far more time in the home is spent cooking meals than the other tasks and is far more complex than, say, folding laundry. But there is something I think everyone is missing in the discussion of robots: "what is the goal?" I've been doing consumer research talking with many around the world about these things. People tend to have a few goals: 1. Improve their lives. 2. Save them time. 3. Save them money. 4. Enable a new business. What is the best way to improve your life? Upgrade your food. This is very hard to do when both parents in a family are working their butts off to try to improve their careers. It gets worse when a single parent is trying to keep everything going. How many times have you decided to go out to eat rather than spend an hour cooking food? Doing that for a family of four in Silicon Valley costs $100+. And guarantees your family will overeat. I've done that many times while raising my kids, and often I can't say no when desert comes around. It gets worse if you take the easy route out at home. Put a pre-processed meal into the microwave, or heat up a frozen pizza. Horrible for everyone's health. But what if you could have a robot at home that cooks your meals? Then costs go down to less than $20 and ingredients get way way better. It gets worse when you consider a $20,000 humanoid. They aren't safe enough to trust around stoves yet. And their hands aren't yet dexterous enough to do that. I doubt my Neo will be allowed to cook meals over an open flame, and if so I will have to watch it to make sure it doesn't do anything wrong. (The Neo that arrives next year will be teleoperated by a human remotely and the risks that person does something, or misses oil catching on fire is just way too high). While neither robot will be able to do all food preparation (cutting chicken up into cubes, or cutting carrots or other fruits, for instance) this robot dramatically reduces the time needed for a human to make a meal and dramatically reduces the costs to do so. And, as we discuss in the video, when the Neo does arrive the Neo will be able to use this machine too, reducing time even more (and will be able to set the table and wash the dishes, saving even more time so you can answer more emails or learn more AI programs or, even, pay attention to your kids and give them a few more minutes of quality time). The robot industry should focus on the low hanging fruit first. Cooking meals is the biggest one to improve your life, save you time, and make your family healthier. It's why I bought one. And they actually make two: Your money is way better spent getting one of these than buying a humanoid. GARM purportedly sets brand safety standards, objective standards by which advertisers and platforms can supposedly determine just what sort of content ought to be deemed safe for advertising. “In reality, GARM acts as a cartel. Its members account for 90% of ad spending in the United States, almost a trillion dollars. In other words, if you're not getting ad dollars from GARM members, it's nearly impossible to run an ad-based business. And if you're not following their preferred political narratives, the ones that Kara Swisher and Dianne Feinstein would follow, you will not be deemed brand safe. Your business will be throttled. We at Daily Wire have experienced this firsthand. In 2017, after Senator Feinstein made her threats to bring the weight of government down on social media platforms, the Daily Wire YouTube channel saw a 1000% increase in content enforcements over a two-year period. Since 2021, after Democrat officials further turned up the heat on social media companies, my personal Facebook page has seen an over 80% drop in impressions. “Or take Joe Rogan. Spotify, of course, works with GARM. “So what are the brand safety standards that GARM uses? The standards begin with inarguable things that we've heard from the other witnesses, like preventing the distribution of child sexual abuse material or stopping terrorism. But GARM doesn't draw the line at what is criminal, abusive, or dangerous. Their standards also include restrictions on hate speech, harassment, misinformation, or, my personal favorite, insensitive, irresponsible, and harmful treatment of debated, sensitive social issues. Those criteria are highly subjective in theory, and they are purely partisan in practice. For example, last year, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh was fully demonetized on YouTube, a GARM member. Why? For quote-unquote misgendering, which to GARM is to say that men are not women. Perfectly obvious facts now run afoul of GARM's censorship standards. “Companies targeted by GARM, like the Daily Wire, Breitbart, Fox News, and so many others, reach hundreds of millions of people with opinions and beliefs long established as within the mainstream of American conservative thought. GARM and its members have no respect for the beliefs of those people. They would like them marginalized or squashed. It's time to stand up for the First Amendment in this Congress. “Congress can do so in two ways. First, Congress must investigate the informal and perhaps formal arrangements between censorship cartels like GARM and executive branch agencies. When Congresswoman Jayapal blames social media for placing America at the precipice of a democratic crisis and calls on them to target what they deem hate groups, she also knows what she is doing. She is participating in a sophisticated, coercive campaign against free speech. When Congressman Hank Johnson says, quote, ‘We need a constitutional amendment to allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,’ he also knows what he is doing. “We all know what these government actors, what some people in this room are doing. You're using the tacit threat of government action to compel private companies to throttle viewpoints you don't particularly like. The First Amendment was not designed to enable workarounds by elected officials. It was directed at Congress, at you. And you're abdicating your fundamental duty when you exert pressure on private companies to censor speech. Some in this room have been doing just that for years.
