Every year we say, “This Ramadan will be different.” Every year we make plans, set goals, and prepare our hearts. But how many people planned to fast this year and are now under the soil instead?Ramadan is not promised. Tomorrow is not promised. Even tonight is not promised. Allah reminds us: “And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die.” (Qur’an 31:34) We prepare for Ramadan with shopping lists, meal prep and schedules… but have we prepared our hearts? Have we prepared our repentance? Have we prepared our meeting with Allah? He thought he would see Ramadan. We think we will see Ramadan. But the grave is filling faster than our intentions. If Allah allows you to witness this Ramadan, then know it is a gift — not a guarantee. Make it the Ramadan that changes you before the Ramadan that buries you.اللهم بلغنا رمضان و تقبل منا" ©aussiemammoth
