Our efforts are working. 69 cities, counties, and towns have imposed bans or moratoriums on new Al data centers driven by community resistance to surging energy and water use, higher utility bills, and lost land for farming and housing. Don’t let up. The fight is far from over. The people, not corrupt politicians in the pockets of billionaires and corporations, deserve to make decision for our communities. For this to happen long-term we must fundamentally change our system from capitalist to socialist.

This morning our Samaritan's Purse cargo plane left North Carolina with nearly 85,000 pounds of emergency supplies for Nepal. These photos show some of the communities where we are working. The destruction is unimaginable. The 30-foot-high wall of water, mud, and debris destroyed everything in its path. Survivors are in shock, grieving, and many have lost everything. So many of their family members and friends were killed or are still missing. We are working with partners in the hardest-hit areas to provide things like water filters, tarps, blankets, hygiene kits, and solar lights. Continue to pray for the people of Nepal. And pray for our teams responding to this overwhelming tragedy in Jesus' Name.

You travelled to one of the whitest countries on earth and you're shocked that you don't fit in? Open letter to all the good people on the planet from Ukrainians living in Russia-occupied Oleshky, Kherson region. “Help!!! SOS !!! We are residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, we appeal to the people of the entire civilized democratic world. First of all, we want to thank all the caring people who help Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor, and those countries and their residents who gave shelter to Ukrainians who fled the war. We also want to remind you that Ukraine is not only minerals and subsoil, Ukraine is living people... People who want to live in peace and harmony on their native land, to work, build, give birth. People who dream of peace and tranquility, of meeting their relatives, whom this damn war separated them from. People of faith, people of truth, people of common sense - do not let Ukraine and its people be torn apart. Do not let a handful of greedy tyrants destroy and plunder democracy and freedom of speech in their independent countries. How can you live in a country where they decide for you what to watch or what to listen to? In the occupied territories, people disappear without a trace. At the beginning of the war, we went to rallies against Russian troops and against Russia. We did not leave our homes for three days when they held a referendum for joining Russia 'under the barrel of a machine gun’. Ukraine does not ask for help with soldiers, as Russia replenishes its troops with North Koreans. We want to live in a Free Ukraine. We believe that the majority of people on Earth are good and intelligent people. We are Ukrainians. We are not subsoil, we are not minerals, we are living people. We want to live... Israel’s war isn’t just affecting us as a people in Gaza, it’s a war on every living and breathing thing in the Gaza Strip. Our people, our land and water, our entire environment, our homes, our animals and birds, our ocean, our memories, our streets and favorite places and everything that we love about Gaza. It’s affecting our physical and mental health. We are really suffering and I wish someone would stop this genocide. All those people you see who were forcibly displaced and had to walk for 5 or more hours to go south and leave their homes behind are suffering. Some of them are elders who couldn’t walk, and have already witnessed the ethnic cleansing during the 1948 Nakba, and were forcibly expelled from their homes in northern Palestine to Gaza. This is a genocide. This is ethnic cleansing. We deserve a better life. Ceasefire now

I met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. I informed them about contacts at the leaders’ level in the E3–Ukraine format as well as our contacts with the American side. Right now, all our partners note that Ukraine’s positions on the frontline are significantly stronger, and therefore the approaches in diplomacy, which we are now working to reinvigorate, must be based precisely on this. Unfortunately, Russia is trying to compensate for its enormous losses on the battlefield with strikes on our cities and communities, on civilian infrastructure. That is why air defense missiles are our top priority. And we discussed how to secure additional supplies for Ukraine right now, as well as efforts to develop a European anti-ballistic missile system. I am grateful to Alex and Jonas, and to the people of Finland and Norway, for their steadfast assistance and support. We appreciate that our agreements are being implemented.

In the second video, during the rain, people try to collect at least a drop of water because the water pipeline from the Siverskyi Donets was destroyed by the Russians. When Donetsk was not occupied by Russia, the city hosted the European Football Championship, as well as concerts by Rihanna and Beyoncé. Now, there is no more running water in the city. According to the schedule, water only appears in taps once every three days, and even then it doesn’t reach every household, so water has to be delivered by tankers, with long queues forming for it. People use plastic bags as toilets, and this filth spreads everywhere. This is happening not only in Donetsk - water is supplied once every two days in a number of other cities, including Mariupol. This is how Russia 'liberated' Donbas. Why is this happening? In the past three and a half years - since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 - reservoirs in Donetsk Oblast have significantly dried up. The water supply system from the Siverskyi Donets River was destroyed. The region’s reservoirs and underground water sources are not enough to meet the needs of the population, in part due to the extensive network of coal mines. When the self-proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR” were created in 2014, Ukraine did not cut off this water channel, as it was still supplying water to Mariupol, which remained under Ukrainian control. But at the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the situation changed: the Russian army, during its offensive, destroyed a unique hydraulic structure that had supplied the region’s largest cities with water. The Russian authorities decided to build a new canal - the Don–Donbas canal - which was supposed to begin in the Rostov-on-Don area. It soon became clear that the new water pipeline, first of all, could not provide the region with the necessary amount of water, and second, it was built with numerous violations, with a large portion of the budget embezzled during construction. Crimea is also suffering from a water shortage, and the situation is worsening. One of the reasons why Russia is striving to seize southern Ukraine is that it sees this as a way to "solve the water issue" for the occupied territories.

NEW: Underwater IED detonated after it was found at an Alabama reservoir that is the sole drinking water source for about 350,000 people. The bomb was reportedly discovered during routine maintenance. Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) Director Bud McCrory says the discovery is "an unprecedented threat" to the drinking water. "We are fortunate that this device was discovered before it could cause serious damage to our water supply or harm to individuals," he said. The bomb is being described as a "grenade-type IED" and was detonated with help from personnel with the FBI Bomb Squad. MAWSS is currently investigating when and how the bomb got into the reservoir.
