Ghost in the Shell has been trending in recent weeks, just a reminder that the PS1 got one of the most fun arcade style shooters where you pilot Fuchikoma, I can't recommend it enough.

It was also for the longest time the only GITS media where the Masamune Shirow art style was animated before the new anime came out.

One of my favorite games from this era. Playing this and Bulk Slash on Sega Saturn back to back is a trip

I mostly agree but I HATE that the last level incidentally is the only one that both demands you platform upside down and instakills you if you fuck up Perfect arcadey game except for that

I paid waaay too much to buy this on ebay. But worth it.

Played the hell out of the demo back in the day. Only managed to get the full game 20 years later.

It's even more fun and enganging when you play it with the analog stick controller I have it and it's great when i get the feel for it.

This reminds me of that one moment in Watch Dogs where you could play as a giant spider drone. I've always wanted to see a game like that since. This is really good!

That's definitely emulation. The real game does NOT run that smoothly lmfao. I fondly remember that game being a crisp...22 FPS even on NTSC

Coincidentally just did a 100% completion playthrough of it Got all the training mode ending cutscenes and the special artwork if you beat mission mode in 1 sitting & not hitting low health I recommend playing it first before watching the videos ^_^

Also has some of the best animeated sequences that for me, was the more accurate to Shirows jokes and style than the movie ever wad.

The 5th generation (PS1, N64, and Sega Saturn) had some the greatest games ever made. i love that era. 🙏😎

I always wished there was another game where you could play as a rookie on the team like this one, but with gameplay similar to the PS2 game. with some character customization, where you play through the SAC scenario.

This was an awesome game. There was also a PS2 game that was decent.

I still to this day rock this soundtrack. 🙌🏿

And it was time the manga's tone was retained in an adaptation.
