Strolling through the streets of Odesa, one can observe not only the beauty of this Ukrainian city but also the numerous scars of war. The longer it continues, the more wounds appear on the architecture of the city and its homes. A city is a living organism, much like the human body. But while the body retains a scar, a city can heal through the skilled hands of its residents. And all that will remain are people’s memories and the footage captured on the phones of Odesans. I find myself wanting to mention the word "russians" less and less - their very mention and their actions are so repulsive to me. After all, tonight they took Ukrainian lives again. This scar will remain with these families for a lifetime, and descendants will long remember who took the lives of their loved ones and when. These are the scars passed down from generation to generation. Having no power is nothing compared to having attack drones flying over your city and people sitting in the dark at night in their homes, not even knowing which of these attack drones could take their lives very quickly.

There is something about Patna. It’s like an old energy that pulsates just beneath the chaos. Waiting to break surface and shine in all its glory. You see glimpses of it in pockets of old beauty and modern brilliance. The state of the art museum, the various art forms adorning the city walls, the aesthetics of sprawling old homes, the bridges across its many rivers, the delightful JP Ganga Path and most of all the gently flowing Ganga ji on whose banks this ancient city thrives. The singing of the koyal on flowering mango trees rises above the hum of a crowded city which surprisingly is very green. The roads leading out of Patna to rural Bihar are fantastic. Tree lined and some running alongside fertile green fields, nalas and across rivers. Culture sits comfortably here by way of gamchhas around men’s necks and aalta on women’s feet. Despite years of mis governance, apathy and policy failures the sheer resilience, hard work and natural intelligence of the people breaks through. If East will herald the new rise, Patliputra and Bihar with its young and smart population stand out as promising contenders to lead it. Hope it happens. #Patna

Not every day is a clean win, the agents are still deep in the loop, but the streets are finally alive.
