Gil Scott Heron "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" performed with husband and wife duo Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, 1980 #gillscottheron #revolution

Potent reminder to re-watch Do The Right Thing, which is always relevant and for the magical interaction of Ossie Davis as The Mayor and Ruby Dee as Mother Sister.

This clip takes me back, when I was a kid my young dad was a fan of GSH,sitting in the back seat I remember hearing all of GSH’s music, now that I think ,GSH still speaks to a time he didn’t live to see,or would he want to? The revolution won’t be televised, it will be posted .

The revolutions are being shown on social medias.

Aight seriously, is anyone working on a romance/ drama based on Ruby & Ossie? I need a film on their careers & love story frfr!! 😫🤌🏾

This is amazing. I’ve never seen this. Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee were both amazing in Do The Right Thing. Made that film.
