Morning. Dad was police, brother in law fire and they missed out on so many family 'do's'. Thanks to all of them out there and to you too, I wish you and yours a happy and peaceful Easter.x

The fire service are definitely undervalued, the work they do saving people I remember when I was about 17 and crashed into police, the fire engines attended and delayed my arrest and no doubt stopped me getting a beating 🤣🙈 A memory that’s remained with me Happy Easter 🐣

I do spare that thought, but what I see is a young vulnerable person who has been indoctrinated into gang culture. Violence isn’t a biological trait, it’s something that is created by situations, experience and circumstance. I just hope that this person gets the support they need

@scottkidd77 All who’re groomed and exploited by gangs may be vulnerable at the start But the line is crossed when they then begin to perpetrate violence against others And this kid is unlikely to get adequate support, simply because professionals lack the necessary skill to do so

@scottkidd77 Arrests and court procedures don't mean the social services can't also try to step in. Definitely room for both approaches, especially when we want to stop reoffending.

Gang members who’re stopped and searched, often come away from that search with nothing being found on them That doesn’t mean the stop and search was fruitless or without justification, as it no doubt disrupts and deters the activities of gangs and OCGs I’ve experienced it
