The Nation of Islam, Bobby Hemmitt, and others spoke on relaxers and cancers back in the 90s. Those products were intentional.

Black women deserve reparations because I remember when black women didn’t have a choice but to perm their hair to get a job hence the crown act they still hasn’t been ratified to this day.

It's not just relaxers, it's the processed foods and fast foods.

This is probably why they were pushing that "Your natural hair is unprofessional" BS!

Right I haven't had a perm since 2015 that's when I went natural and never went back either.

I ALWAYS suspected that a product used mostly by black and Latino women (and some Jewish) would NOT be safe…why?…because THIS is America…and this is what is consistently done.

I'm from the UK. In the 80's black women used US relaxer kits like TCB, Dark & Lovely, Sta Sof Fro which were not banned under ECU regulations. My mother used those kits and she sadly passed from cancer in 2013

They are also the cause of uterine fibroids. This is unacceptable.

Also the "Just for Me" relaxer models on the box NEVER used THOSE products.... SMH
