Actual zero momentum.

Did you watch it?

And if this isn’t enough for this guy, pull up some of those black suited swings.

With pleasure, loved this one.

@kaiscomics Okay so the only thing you want from a swinging scene is to see him do this literal one movement through a long street?

@kaiscomics No, considering I started this thread by praising a scene where he doesn't do that. Are you tracking?

The replies can't comprehend peak

It looks like a cartoon my dude. The movements feel like hes way too stretched. Even as a 5 year old, i could feel it was off

What's "way too stretched" for you? Spider-Man is a flexible character and his webs are literally meant to be stretchy.

He’s flexible, but he ain’t Mr fantastic. Ffh swings never had that problem. And they were actually great. Theres another scene right as he destroys mysterio, another at the spider monkey scene, etc. they’ve really developed this character’s arc to learn swinging in parts.

Ts is NOT batter than FFH swinging Nostalgia really be blinding y’all

Na it doesn’t. Hes literally floating lmao this looks fake as shit. Was cool back Ina day

If he's floating, then how is he falling?

Bro r yall on this app genuinely retarded? Like use ur head

This is the kind of larger then life swinging and music i wanna see from BND.

He’s way too floaty which in turn makes him look completely weightless. Also beginning looks like he’s swinging from the clouds. SM1 swing is way better and even then it still has issues

I remember hating this shit when I was a kid, bruh. 💀☠️ Looking back, there was a lot of things I hated about the Raimi Trilogy for the most disingenuous and dumbest reasons of all time only to rewatch them last year and this year with new lens.

Ppl in the replies are primarily looking at the Raimi shots from a VFX/visuals standpoint which is not the point. No shit the visuals look bad it's from a 2004 movie. It just shows how ppl don't understand what makes a web swinging sequence good or bad.

Looks super floaty and weightless

@K_Kontroller2 Elfman was moving differently back then

Bro you lowkey picked the floatiest one

Still looks really good for '04 cgi, and considering it hit theaters only two years after the first movie? Nah, this still looks really nice for it's respective time

Ppl are crazy this came out in 2002 and looks 10 times better than half the swinging scenes we have now.

the animation is out dated he has little momentum and he’s looks like he’s floating. There are moments where it has weight but overall the MCU swinging clears and it’s not even close. no modern animator would animate spider-man like this.

yeah looks ass but great during that time

The Raimi is great thanks to it being a oner & Spidey is 95% in center of the frame. Camera constantly moving, constantly following him. You can question the realism but this is a movie & we are going out on a bang My biggest issue with FFH is just this part of it

The effects and physics behind them are a little off (obviously, the movie is 14 YO). But the artistry... You can see there's a director who cares about composition, color, and the overall feeling. It feels like a movie more than a product.

This is also carried by the music, what are you on ? They are both different takes on the character's swinging, both great in their own way. Tom's is playful with tricks and a selfie (complimented by the theme), Tobey's is more heroic & locked in (also complimented by the theme)

It looks really awful looking back. But ill give it a pass because it was a product of its time

this still looks really good

looks like shit and his webs constantly attach to nothing lmao

This is Raimi's worst swing, can't believe they reused it for 3's narration. The camera movement is so weird, that zoom out does it zero favors. He's animated like he is hovering at the same speed throughout the "arc" of his swing and his web is attached to literally nothing.

They dont know this movie got oscars for Best visual effects lol

I’ll now what you mean but let’s be honest. You can tell this is old CgI animation it doesn’t look great. It looks OK for its time. Yes some nostalgia plays into this saying this looks amazing when compared to today it definetly does not

Looks like shit

Excellent for 20 years ago maybe

It isn't bad but the tasm swinging scenes are miles better imo

gang im ngl ts looks awful. i love these films tho dont get me wrong, but holding old movies up to todays standards for vfx is unfair.

Raimi has so much sauce

the music, man

A real spider man movie
