We're making some changes to the departure boards at Glasgow Central. From tomorrow, train information on display will be removed 90 seconds before departure, instead of the current 60 seconds. This change will help prevent falls as people run to catch a service. Glasgow Central

🚆✅ We're delighted to announce that we're able to resume our normal timetable from Glasgow Central High Level on Wednesday (25 March), after work was completed to reinstate the remaining platforms at the station. ℹ️ Public safety is still the main priority so not all entrances and exits to the high level are open. An exclusion zone around the area worst affected by the fire is still in place so the entrances to the station on Gordon Street and Union Street will remain closed until further notice. 📱 We're advising customers to continue to check their journey before travelling as there may be some minor alterations to services due to some trains being out of position following the station closure. ☔#StormAshley will bring heavy rain and very strong winds tomorrow which can cause high waves in exposed coastal areas such as Saltcoats, just like the ones videoed below on a Glasgow Central to Largs service. ⚠️Services in the West and North Highlands, Ayrshire, Stranraer and between Perth and Inverness will be affected by precautionary speed restrictions from mid-afternoon on Sunday, 20 October until the morning of Monday, 21 October.

⚠️Storm Floris disruption to continue into Tuesday⚠️ Storm Floris continues to bring very strong and disruptive winds across Scotland, with an amber Met Office warning in place until 23:00 across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and all areas north of the Central Belt area. A further yellow warning is in place across all other areas of Scotland, until the end of today. The damage caused by the storm has been extensive, including trees falling onto overhead wires and tracks. Network Rail will soon begin work to recover the railway, as a number of routes will need to be inspected once the storm has passed and then repair work carried out. While some checks will be carried out later tonight, further inspections will be needed during daylight hours, which will cause disruption to services on some routes on Tuesday morning. Customers planning to travel on Tuesday should check their journey before travelling using the ScotRail app, website and our page. ScotRail tickets dated Monday, 4 August, will be valid for travel on our services tomorrow, Tuesday, 5 August. If you’ve been unable to use your ticket due to #StormFloris, you can request a full refund using our refund request form. ℹ️
