✏️ Glasgow is set to get its fourth Gaelic speaking primary school next year after £2.5m from the Scottish Government. 📆 It will complete the refurbishment of the old St James’ School. 🏫 Deputy First Minsiter @_KateForbes says the new building will have room for 416 kids.

@_KateForbes Segregating kids' education based on their background seems like a great idea. Glasgow is absolutely the place to evidence how that segregation supports a cohesive society.

@_KateForbes Why should it get a grant other schools will not. Surely all children should be treated the same

@_KateForbes Gaelic will die as a spoken language in its heartland as a result of SNP policies on jobs, education, health and transport and these schools in non Gaelic speaking areas won’t make any difference to this.

@_KateForbes Why ? The kids in Glasgow can’t even speak English why do they want to be speaking Gaelic, that is irrelevant to anyone off the islands.

@_KateForbes When I was at school it was part of the curriculum to learn a second language for the first two years, mainly French or German. It should be Scotland's right to learn our Gaelic language. It's ours.
