🚨Exciting news for archaeology and for human knowledge in general! It has been a long and tedious process, but the Peruvian Ministry of Culture has finally granted permission to export geological samples that will hopefully enable the age of Sacsayhuaman's construction to be determined! Three types of samples have been collected for analysis using different dating methods, and some of them are already on their way to different labs in the US and in Europe. 1 - Soil samples collected from right beneath the blocks that make up the megalithic walls of Sacsayhuaman for Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating – this method is used to determine the time elapsed since minerals like quartz and feldspar were last exposed to sunlight by measuring the light energy (luminescence) released from trapped electrons that accumulated in the mineral crystal lattice due to natural radiation since their last bleaching/reset event (i.e., when the ground was covered by the blocks). 2 - Limestone samples from megalithic blocks, quarry sites and carved bedrock, for Cosmogenic Nuclides dating – this method is used to determine the age of geological surfaces by measuring the accumulation of rare isotopes (mainly ³⁶Cl) produced when the limestone is hit by cosmic rays. 3 - Speleothems samples (calcium carbonate deposits such as stalactite or flowstone) collected on carved surfaces for Uranium-Thorium dating – this method is used to calculate the age of carbonate materials by measuring the buildup of thorium-230 from the slow decay of its uranium-234 parent isotope. This won’t give us the age of the carving of these rocks, but this will give us a minimum age, since the rock was obviously cut before these deposits formed. Additionally, if some organic material is found in the soil or speleothems samples, radiocarbon dating will also be performed, which would give us a fourth means of dating the construction of the site. Whether you believe this megalithic site was built by the Incas or by a much older civilization, science will hopefully put an end to this debate once and for all. And, to top it all off, some limestone samples have also been sent to the Geopolymer Institute of Joseph Davidovits for analysis. This is proof, if any were needed, that not all archaeologists are dogmatic and closed to alternative theories. Now, Let's hope that all these methods will yield results. Whatever these results may be, they will be the subject of a scientific publication, and I will share them here on X, so make sure to follow. This could potentially rewrite history!

Two shareholders asked me why is $CNL drilling the San Antonio project (2 rigs) when we have a major discovery in Apollo (Guayabales project)? Answer: How can we ignore a potentially giant system located next to the Pan American highway and hydroelectric power lines only a few km’s away from Guayabales? San Antonio is without question a big & intensely altered system with porphyry style mineralization traced for more than 3km with the following attributes: 1. Multiple styles of porphyry related mineralization encountered through drilling incl. copper and gold porphyry mineralization, late stage CBM veins and sulfosalts. 2. Hole SAC-11 discovered a porphyry system by intersecting 290.2m @ 0.58 g/t Au, 3 g/t Ag and 0.17% Cu. We are hunting for the source of this mineralization 3. We continue to cut potential mineralization in subsequent follow up holes. See the video below of drill core tray from a recent hole cutting intense altered rocks enriched in sulphides. Caution** wait for assay results, which are expected in August. The prize at San Antonio is potentially very large, a nice complement to our Apollo system. NEW: 21-year-old parents charged with murdering their six week old twin daughters in Houston, Texas. Horrific. Angelina Belinda Calderon and Fernando Vega’s babies were found malnourished with blunt force injuries. During a court appearance, Calderon lashed out at the father, claiming she was at work when they died. “You were the last one with my kids when they f*****g died. You're making me look like I'm a bad person. I was at work when they f*****g died,” she said. According to the district attorney’s office however, the babies were not properly taken care of despite the blunt force trauma. “These two children were about six weeks old and appeared to suffer blunt force injuries, severely malnourished and old and new and new injuries on both of the children.” The babies were found dead on the couch with discolored skin, bruises and contusions. One of the girls had fractures.

What appears to be a Russian Geran-2 or Gerbera drone struck a high-rise apartment building in Galati, Romania, around 13.5 km from the border with Ukraine. Prior to the attack, air raid alerts were issued in parts of the country due to the drone incursion into Romanian airspace. At least two people were injured and another 70 evacuated from the building, where a fire subsequently broke out. Romanian authorities say they are investigating the source of the drone, however at the same time of this attack, a large-scale Russian Geran-2 drone attack was underway on the Ukrainian port city of Reni, which lies directly opposite the border with Romania.

🖤 WOW! Another amazing friend of Nolan Wells speaks: Tracestin Shepherd. I’ll call him T. With Brandon Tatum Part 5: 🖤 Mom said this wasn’t one of Nolan’s close friends (yet again), yet he parked cars at Nolan’s house for weeks, spent Spring Break with him, and traveled with him. 🖤 The beach fight. T got into a fight after a man inserted himself into him and his girlfriend’s discussion, took a swing at T, and the 2 fought. Later, Warren’s younger brother, Carter, got into a separate one-on-one fight with that SAME man. Nolan was not part of the fight. 🖤 It makes me wonder if Nolan was targeted later because he was with this friend group—or if that same man later inserted himself into Nolan’s conversation with Katie. 🖤 No obvious signs of a fight, THOUGH, per ME. Only the red discoloration on the back of Nolan’s neck, and part of his neck is still being retained by the first medical examiner. There could be medical explanations, but a couple of my guy friends wondered if maybe Nolan had been choked out. 🖤 Last sighting by T: Nolan and Katie were walking toward Wyatt’s boat while T headed to his uncle’s boat. T didn’t say Nolan was getting on the boat or leaving. Katie remains part of the timeline. 🖤 T says the “Give me my effing phone” voice is his, not Nolan’s. JUST IN: 23-year-old Chad T. Richard is accused of m*rdering award-winning gymnast Kara Welsh just a block away from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Whitewater Police Department says Richard shot Welsh multiple times at an apartment. In last weeks budget Rachel Reeves axed the Eco scheme and knocked £1bn of the nation’s energy bills - with the other hand, in the same month - the cost of building a new nuke at Sizewell was added to our energy bills - it was also £1bn for the first year, £1.4bn for the second and we’ll endure at least ten years of this before it makes any of it’s very expensive electricity. How expensive? - well the nuke at Hinkley (which is 17 years late) is due to start generating in 4 years time - when it does we’ll see another £1bn a year added to our energy bills. Taking green and social taxes from our energy bills is a great idea - but adding nuclear ones undoes all the benefit - and more.

Five people were injured after a shooting this evening in Northeast DC, making this DC’s first mass shooting less than 72 hours into the New Year. DC Police were called out just before 8:20pm to the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE in Eckington DC. On scene, a female and two men were found injured… they are all last reported to be conscious. Police are determining if one of the people were shot or injured by glass from the gunfire. Additionally, two men showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. (also still conscious) One is believed to be a suspect. Appears to possibly be domestic in nature. h/t Alan Henney

#Pune: #FDA Seizes Suspected Adulterated Food Stock Worth ₹37.61 Lakh Across Seven Locations Pune, July 13: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Pune Division, has seized food stocks worth ₹37.61 lakh during a special enforcement drive conducted across seven locations under the state-wide 'Safe Food, Safe Drug, Safe Maharashtra' campaign launched by Food Safety Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe. The inspections were carried out between July 8 and July 12, during which officials seized 92,541 kg/litres of various food products over suspected adulteration and labelling violations. Samples have been collected for laboratory analysis, and further action will depend on the test reports. Among the major actions: * Sangli: FDA officials inspected Malti Agencies on Kupwad Road and collected samples of paneer and lassi. A total of 121 kg of stock worth ₹28,300 was seized over suspected adulteration and labelling deficiencies. * Kolhapur: At Balaji Bakers in Hatkanangale, samples of pista, orange, pineapple and mango cookies were collected. Around 86 kg of products worth ₹29,960 was seized for suspected labelling violations. * Pune: A milk tanker (MH 12 VB 4700) transporting milk from Ajinkyarana Milk Industries, Sangola (Solapur), was intercepted. Officials collected samples and seized 28,498 litres of milk worth ₹11.39 lakh on suspicion of adulteration. Since the milk was perishable, it was destroyed. * Pune: Another milk tanker (MH 16 CC 5001) transporting milk from Priyadarshini Milk Collection Centre, Ambilwadi, Ahilyanagar, was inspected. Authorities seized and destroyed 24,498 litres of milk worth ₹9.79 lakh after collecting samples. * Pune: FDA officials inspected Yashoda Milk and Milk Products, Junnar, collected samples of A2 Gir Cow Milk (DK Brand) and regular cow milk, and seized 1,806 litres worth ₹81,270 due to suspected adulteration and labelling violations. The unit has been ordered to suspend operations until further orders. * Solapur: A surprise inspection at Ajinkyarana Milk Industries, Sangola, found multiple violations, including the absence of purchase and sale records, operating without a valid licence, and breaches of food safety regulations. Officials collected samples, seized 37,532 litres of milk worth ₹15.01 lakh, destroyed the stock, and ordered the chilling centre to cease operations until further notice. In a separate action in Satara district, acting on confidential information, the FDA raided a cattle shed owned by Dilip Bhimrao Bhosale at Hol village in Phaltan taluka. Officials allegedly found whey permeate powder, spray-dried instant tea/coffee creamer, and other substances being used for milk adulteration. An FIR (No. 415/2026) has been registered at Phaltan Police Station against five persons, including the cattle owner and powder suppliers. Further investigation is underway. The FDA stated that strict action against food businesses operating without licences, violating food safety regulations, or selling adulterated and substandard food products will continue. After the speeches of the Governor and the dignitaries, which went on for around two hours, only gold medallists were given degrees on stage and the rest of us were asked to collect ours later. This is why we got angry and asked the administration to reconsider, and when they refused, we chanted slogans against them. We just launched our biggest creator partnership to date. We're excited about it. It's done really well so far. A few of our big bets for this year and beyond are: - creator obsession - partnerships - In real life community activations - sampling - overall brand building Something that is definitely newer to us, and we're definitely late getting into, but the best place to start is today. We launched a product with a well-known creator last week. That has gone really well and will unfortunately be out of stock on a bunch of shades soon. We did an in-person event with her at, 8 months pregnant today at one of our stores. It was our first time ever hanging blister packs to sample. We had a bunch of blister packs and a bunch of agile trucks, plus some other out-of-home. It's all a big content play, but also building community and introing people to the brand and getting samples in as many people's hands as possible. We just bought a rivian and wrapped it for sampling events. Hoping to give away 7 figures in samples this year and next. We started with 1 but I’m gonna pull the trigger on a few more once we see signs of traction. We’re opening 12 stores this year and doubling down on IRL, community, and sampling. We have another brand partnership in a few weeks with a big IRL component as well. Excited to learn new things and keep pushing into building a brand, community, and meeting people IRL.

China's central bank has now bought gold for 19 months straight, the largest official buyer on earth. And this week, as gold broke 4,000 dollars, China's biggest banks moved to push ordinary Chinese out of leveraged gold trading, with at least one warning it will liquidate any position not closed by month-end. Both are true at once, and together they explain what this crash really is. Start with what is being banned, because the words matter. ICBC and a string of other banks are shutting down retail trading in what the Chinese themselves call paper gold, the margined, leveraged contracts where you bet on the price without ever owning a bar. Some banks lifted the margin requirement to 140 percent to choke the leverage off before closing the products outright. Physical gold, meanwhile, stays wide open. Coins, bars, savings plans, ETFs, all fine. It is only the paper, the leverage, the casino, that is being shut, the last step in a five-year retreat that the crash just finished. Officially this is about protecting small investors, and that part is real. The same kind of leverage wiped out a wave of Chinese retail in a 2020 commodity blowup. But set the ban beside what the state is doing and something larger comes into view. While its citizens are pushed out of the paper, the People's Bank of China has spent those same 19 months buying the physical metal, more than two thousand three hundred tonnes of it now, accumulating straight through a 28 percent crash that scared everyone else out. Beijing is not trading gold. It is hoarding it. That is the strategy in one frame. China looked at the two things both called gold, the paper bet and the physical bar, and made a choice no Western government would make. It is taking the metal for the state and closing the casino for everyone else. The reason sits in a single date. 2022, when Russia's reserves were frozen with a keystroke. That taught every country outside the Western system one lesson: dollars in an account can be switched off, gold in your own vault cannot. So China is building its monetary independence out of the one asset nobody can freeze, and it does not want that foundation in the hands of leveraged traders who panic-sell in a crash, or priced by a paper market it does not control.
