I've always been intrigued by the 'fact' that a unit cube is 'equivalent to' a sphere with radius =.62. So 'practically speaking', one has to 'buzz off' the corners -'blend' them into 'dust' and 'paint them' on the flat surfaces to form the sphere. (reducing diagonal length, increase 'radii' from .5...A fraction of the original unit cube is untouched by this 'process of forming a sphere'.
