A wrestling referee says he walked out of the Ohio State showers and told two coaches the team doctor had just touched himself next to him. One of the coaches was Jim Jordan, now one of Donald Trump’s closest allies in Congress. “Jim Jordan looked at me straight in my face and said, ‘It’s Strauss. You know what he does.” Dr. Richard Strauss examined Ohio State athletes from the 1970s to the 1990s. In 2019 an independent investigation found he had sexually abused at least 177 students. It also found that coaches and administrators knew for two decades and did nothing. Strauss had killed himself in 2005. Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach there from 1986 to 1994. In the video below, former team captain Adam DiSabato tells Ohio lawmakers what happened when the story broke: “Jim Jordan called me crying… groveling, on the Fourth of July, begging me to go against my brother.” Jordan says he never saw or heard of any abuse. Former athletic director Andy Geiger testified that Jordan “probably knew.” Jordan’s own deposition is still under seal. In June, Ohio State agreed to pay $100 million to 279 more survivors. With earlier settlements, the university has now paid more than $161 million to about 600 men, roughly $270,000 each. “People always call Jim Jordan a fighter,” says former wrestler Will Knight. “I always wonder who he’s fighting for.” Did Jim Jordan know what was happening in that locker room, or are his old wrestlers blaming the one coach who became famous?

What happened the last time they tried to create a greater Israel project under king and high priest of the Sadducees Alexander Jannaeus? Alexander Jannaeus is remembered as the Hasmonean King and High Priest of Judea (reigned 103–76 BC), who was defeated in battle by the Seleucid king Demetrius III Eucaerus near Shechem in 88 BC, forcing him to take refuge in the mountains like a loser! This military loss triggered a major Judean Civil War that lasted 6 years, as Pharisee rebels, who had invited Demetrius to intervene, realized their mistake and rejoined Jannaeus’s forces, causing Demetrius to withdraw. The conflict led Jannaeus to suppress the rebellion by using his foreign mercenaries to kill 6,000 Pharisees and their supporters by some accounts. Later, returning from an unsuccessful expedition against Obedas, the king of the Arabs, Jannaeus found his people, incited by the Pharisees, armed and arrayed against him. The ensuing civil war cost the lives of no less than 50,000 Je/ws. What was Jannaeus’s most cruel act? Jannaeus executed 800 captured Pharisees by crucifixion in one day in 88 BC. To make matters worse, he made the wives and children of the condemned to be slain before their eyes, while he was surrounded by feasting courtiers and courtesans, enjoyed the bloody spectacle. The remaining Pharisees then fled the country in fear, 8,000 of them emigrating to Syria and Egypt. Was this typical of kosher criminals in charge? The policy of the Hasmoneans in charge tended to sacrifice Jewish religious issues for the sake of political interests, leading to increasing tensions with the Pharisees, who represented popular sentiment, while their opponents, the Sadducees, were made up of the nobility in support of the ruling dynasty. What was Alexander Jannaeus’s legacy? •He ruled with an iron fist for 27 years! •over 60,000 kosher criminals died under his reign •he personally crucifer 800 Pharisees •he did not permanently enlarge the kosher kingdom •he undermined its foundations. •After his wife's death, his sons engaged in civil war, lost to the Romans •Hasmonean dynasty ended in disgrace
