Despite assurances that digital IDs will be voluntary. The reality is that once these systems are embedded into everyday life, for banking, government services or even supermarket age verification—opting out becomes impossible. The infrastructure for control is being built, and history shows that when governments and corporations gain more access to personal data, they do not give it back.
