Assuming it's all a scam (as one does lol), i asked Grok to make some informed guesses at the cost: Taxes Paid by Citizens: $2–4 trillion Government Spending: $1.5–2.5 trillion Institutions and Philanthropists: $30–40 billion Opportunity Costs: $1–2 trillion Total Economic Impact: $4.5–8.5 trillion since 2000, with ongoing costs and (if it's not a scam) potential long-term gains (according to our elders and betters, ha ha). And if it is all nonsense, guess who will pay for remediation, claims for restitution from the defrauded and disadvantaged? Yup, us. Won't that be wonderful.
