That’s the reason the attacks are on people who chant them, the language it is chanted in, the essence of what is chanted and contributions/benefit of them to mankind. By discrediting and breaking the chain, they want to destroy Vedic knowledge. This has been going on for several yuga again and again. We called such attackers as Rakshasha in the past and assumed them to be scary, cruel savages. But I guess they can look like any of us. Vedaa have prevailed in spite of all these and will continue to do.
