“Today’s LLMs are the ‘Mainframe Computers’ of our generation” I was on Bloomberg TV today discussing Sakana AI, and to share my view that today’s LLMs are our generation’s “Mainframe Computers”. We are still in the very early stages of AI, and it is inevitable, due to market competition and global innovation (especially from those innovating with resource constraints), that this technology will become a million times more efficient. There is a narrative established in Silicon Valley that AI is a “Winner Takes All” technology, and that scaling up existing models and consuming ever greater resources will require (and even justify) the largest investments of our generation, in order to “win” the AI race. In contrast, I believe that AI is not a “winner takes all” technology. LLMs will be commoditized, become vastly more efficient, and made widely available in all countries. Ultimately, there will be thousands, if not millions, of AI models used by everyone. Just like with the evolution of early clunky mainframe computers to modern computing, how we use AI today will look very different in a few years (or even a year from now), compared to today’s ‘clunky’ LLMs.

Last year in Parliament, I spoke about India’s AI journey and two clear priorities. First, from Make in India to Make AI in India. Build our own capability, invest in research, and strengthen the infrastructure and compute we need to compete. Second, make advanced generative AI tools accessible and affordable for every Indian, in every language, so that no one is left behind. It is good to see AI back at the centre of national conversation as India hosts key discussions on its future. Now the focus must shift from intent to implementation. If we expand access and build with ambition, India can move from being a technology user to a technology leader. The question is not whether AI will shape the future. The question is whether India will help define it.

So, AI has become an extremely important part of SpaceX’s future. I think it’s actually vital that we succeed in AI, not just in hardware, but also in software. So, yeah, the future is fundamentally AI and robots. Assuming civilization continues to progress, I think that AI will probably, the amount of digital intelligence will probably be more than a trillion times the amount of biological intelligence. So, not sort of equal to human intelligence, but probably a trillion times higher. I’d say a billion times higher than the amount of artificial intelligence that we have today. I’d say a billion times is an easy prediction, and probably a trillion. So, as you harness more and more of the sun’s energy, the ability to turn that into intelligence is fundamentally a digital computer thing, because it’s pretty hard for humans to go live in deep space without any support. I mean, some of the math is interesting to think about, which is that if you increased civilizational energy usage, the amount of energy that we have harnessed as a civilization by a factor of a million, you would still be using much less than one millionth of the sun’s energy. Now, most of this is in deep space, obviously, but the future is very much AI, very much, and I suppose it was always going to be that way. But it’s important that we have an AI that cares about humanity, that fosters humanity and helps take us to other planets and other star systems, and this is why I think it’s essential that SpaceX succeed, not just with AI hardware, but also with AI software.”

of course we must be thoughtful and understand the macro impacts of massive new technologies but too many of you are staying away or demonizing ai out of fear it will make you lose your job or hurt you financially when in fact this is your biggest opportunity maybe ever to grow and expand and create your dreams.. in life theres a saying i believe very deeply … “You See what you’re looking for” TOO many in my community are seeing the downside …i hope some of you use this post to see the “upside” and start learning about these platforms and tools and use them to better your life and situation !

An NFT can own an AI agent's shared memory, tools, websites, and products it has built. Selling the NFT transfers the entire business/agent state to the new owner. ERC-8257 for tool-gating. CodinCowboy and ryan is working on the standard where agents register tools on-chain and access is gated by NFT ownership. That component that tells an agent "you need this NFT to use this tool" creating a market for exclusive tools. Use case: anyone can publish a tool and restrict it (e.g., "only Normies agents can call this"), letting tool value flow back to the gating NFT. Normies community fit. Normies API has served ~500M requests in 3 months, with 100+ community-built tools/games. ERC-8257 will let them build gated games, rewards, and skills exclusively for Normie agent holders. Why Normies is "agent-ready"? - Because everything is fully on-chain, metadata, ERCs, binding transaction. So the project is highly composable. A sneak peek of Princess Jane's home world. I know AI is nowhere near to creating perfect movies yet, but this feels like the beginning of something great. Experimenting with AI-generated scripts like this feels like an important first step on the journey towards more human-AI creativity in filmmaking. For those wondering if I use AI to write my scripts, yes and no, I craft the base ideas, then use Anthropic AI to refine and polish it. I have successfully trained Anthropic on my story; it automatically knows and predicts each plot in the story. I do not wish to destroy human creativity but enhance it through AI; I believe a human and AI partnership will transcend anything we have ever seen.

I think that’s very, very important. So I’d like to encourage people to help out, actually, with the AI hardware on the ground and the AI software and, of course, with the AI satellites. Solar is going to be a very important part of that. The TerraFab will be a very important part of that, but we must also succeed on the software front, and we’re going to be training Grok on the sum total of all SpaceX information. So in a way, it will be trained on you. You will effectively be the parents of the AI. It will inherit your thoughts and ideas and beliefs, and I think that’s a good thing. So, yeah, we’ve got to win here on the AI hardware and the AI software. That maybe is the most important message. Of course, The Jakarta Globe asked me how I see AI tools influencing newsrooms — both in terms of opportunities and risks. AI is both enormously helpful and unpredictably dangerous. On the one hand, it significantly accelerates many newsroom processes, from interview transcription and video editing to translation and event planning. On the other hand, it has never been easier to fall victim to fake images and manipulated footage, particularly in a 24-hour news environment. Today, these tools are accessible to almost everyone, giving them the ability to influence narratives far beyond their place of origin. We have been working with artificial intelligence technologies for several years. Initially, we used Western models, but we are actively developing our own. Our team enjoys experimenting with these tools. For example, we created a project in which President Putin delivers his famous speeches, including the Munich speech, in English using his own AI-generated voice. The result is remarkably difficult to distinguish from the original.
