"any moment shit can hit the fan" he's right my dad died at the range when the targets started shooting back while he was reloading

"Don't take your finger off the trigger when reloading! You never know when you might have to fire your (empty) rifle at someone!" What a dumb thing to say. Its similar to those dumb people who piss their pants if someone looks at their holster when reholstering.

same energy

“An actual experienced shooter…” Bro. People online are wild sometimes.

What good is a hand on the trigger going to do with no magazine?

He’s got a tight sling grip on the front arm. Once you get that into optimal position you do not want to be unslinging it just to reload. We were taught the same thing in the marine corps.

what's gonna do with hand on the trigger if reloading takes twice as long?

Person: *performs an activity better than 99.99% of the population* Randoms on the internet: You’re doing that wrong!

GM The critics would hate it here.

Ah yes the shtf situation at a fucking shooting competition

The sling wraps around his support hand and arm to stabilize his prone shooting position. Therefore, he clearly can’t use his left hand to reload and instead takes the prepared magazines with his shooting hand. Special circumstances call for special measures. 🤷🏻♂️

When shooting *unsupported with a sling* you reload with the strong hand and control the weapon with the support hand. The sling holds the weapon tight to support hand and shoulder. Every high level service rifle competitor does this. Internet experts only seem to know how to shoot from supported positions. They should learn unsupported. RL doesn’t always provide a supported position.

G3 my beloved 🤤

Well he’s 16/0. I would say he can put his finger wherever he wants.

His left hand is propping up the weapon like a monopod. It would be more disruptive to reload with that arm instead of just using his right.

Consistency matters more than any armchair tacticool theories.

This is exactly why you should pay close attention to the latest fad put out by GunTubers, then ignore everything they insist is correct, in favor of what actually works for you.

Once you develop NPA you don’t unsling or move the elbow of your support arm. That way after you change mags you seat the heal of the stock into the same place on your shoulder and roll back into your NPA position. I am guessing the people commenting below the video have never fired a rapid fire match that requires a magazine change.

I hate the tactic cool range masters advice almost as much as influencers. He did everything right and didn't need a redot or a scope.

That advice has nothing to do with accuracy but the average internet warrior has no fuckin' clue when it applies either.

I love the comment section...

Guy is driving nails with a 2-4 MOA infantryman’s battle rifle and these bozos are critiquing him lol

People fail to understand, as long as you remain in cover, getting the gun back in the fight is the goal. Trigger hand doesnt really matter.

People who excel at anything always do it their own way. The standard is for standard people.

Theres a proper way to shoot, and there’s a way to shoot thats comfortable for you. Most often they’re the same thing, but there’s times when you do your own thing to get better times. As long as you are practicing and improving who gives a fuck what you do as long as it doesn’t get you or other’s hurt or killed and you’re improving.

Oh I'm out of ammo, better keep my fingers in the trigger in case I need to fire this empty gun while reloading.

Try shooting an AK while doing that weird “reaching under with your left hand” reload. I never understood that. Keeping your fingier on the trigger of an empty gun makes 0 sense.

I've had 1/2 dozen range masters question my grip Until

Man got a world record and you still got gun redditors complaining about letting go of the trigger

I've heard a lot of reasons on keeping your firing hand on the trigger, and keeping the weapon presented towards your target. Most of it is an ist and ism type deal but in reality its more about just keeping your point of aim relatively stable. But tbh its really not that deep

@Abibliofob Ironsights on the G3 are excellent. Enjoy shooting this rifle with this setup. 🫡

Internet retards when you tell them you cant shoot anything out of an empty magazine.

American “gun safety” and “gun handling” culture is completely retarded.

I love the "shit could hit the fan anytime" Like yeah and having your finger on an unloaded triggers gonna help with that

I shot competitively for a little, once your arm and elbow is set you do everything you can to NOT MOVE IT. Taking your hand off the grip/trigger is exactly what you do
