The Bank of Japan finally admits the carry trade is the problem. So they raise rates to fix it. Except the pension funds and insurance companies they need to buy Japanese bonds are refusing. Not because rates are too low. Because the policy environment made investing in Japan too unpredictable in the first place. So the hikes meant to strengthen the yen are pushing the same institutions further away, and the yen weakens anyway. They diagnosed the disease correctly for once. They just cannot write a prescription that matches reality, because the whole framework they are working from does not match reality. That is the pattern. Not just in Japan.

Today I visited hospitals to financially support few people with their medical bills. I remember asking my friend “ what if people don’t donate”, I was scared but I did it regardless. This is how I genuinely wanted to celebrate my 39th birthday and you guys made it dream come true. My bank started their shenanigans this morning and I couldn’t generate e-token when I wanted to move the funds donated from my corporate account to my personal account so I’ll be able to make transfers. Had to enter the bank to fill a form to transfer the funds. - I firstly went to Adeoyo hospital and I left - I visited oni and sons next and some amount was individually transferred to few mothers with sick kids - I went to UCH and also transferred some amount to few parents too. - there’s a screenshot of the receipt of funds ( though my bank Dey gba but I posted for transparency).. May God bless those who donated. Thank you guys so much 🙏🙏

As a proud Angeleno, the fires that have devastated our county have been heart-breaking. I am so fortunate that while my own home in the Palisades was at risk and had some damage from the fires, I am safe. So many others cannot say the same, and my heart goes out to all of those who have been affected and are rebuilding their lives from ash. I wrote this poem, “Smoldering Dawn”, to process my own fears and prayers for us as we come together as a community to heal from this trauma. While we mourn what we have lost, we also give thanks to the first responders, firefighters and civilians who have fought so tirelessly to combat these fires and ensure the safety of so many. To honor them, I’m releasing this poem as a fundraiser for the California Fire Foundation, which is offering support and aid to firefighters families, as well as those who have been impacted by the fires. 💛 Give what you can, help who you can, stay safe, and this too we shall conquer.

Excited to share our latest work on 🎧spatial audio-driven human motion generation. We aim to tackle a largely underexplored yet important problem of enabling virtual humans to move naturally in response to spatial audio—capturing not just what is heard, but also where the sound is coming from. To this end, we introduce the Spatial Audio-Driven Human Motion (SAM) dataset—the first comprehensive dataset featuring paired high-quality human motion and spatial audio recordings. For benchmarking, we develop a generative framework for human MOtion generation driven by SPAtial audio, termed MOSPA, which learns to synthesize realistic and diverse human motions conditioned on spatial audio input. We hope this research could provide a foundation for future research in spatial perception, virtual characters, and embodied AI. The dataset and model will be open-sourced soon.
