He’s not wrong, per se. Anambrarians run to Asaba. It’s their go-to place to build and live. I don’t know what’s chasing them away from their own state, but a majority of them, including their traders, live in Asaba in their mansions and work in Anambra. It’s an age long trend; it didn’t start today. My former boss back then was from Anambra but chose to run to Asaba to build his duplex. Deltans on the other hand don’t run to Awka to build anything, so it’s particularly strange. Imolites, on the other hand, in most cases either build in Abuja or Lagos their business domain. Outside these major cities, their first alternative is Owerri.
