@susannareid100 Should be made for younger women too, I was 38 when I was diagnosed with a rare aggressive invasive inflammatory breast cancer and just caught it b4 it ended up terminal! Glad I was persistent & kept going back to docs as it saved my life for now anyways!

@susannareid100 These things are not hurdles! Yes it’s frustrating but it’s vital to get the mammogram done. You delayed things by wanting a different hospital. Stop putting people off. I’ve had every mammogram, smear, covid vaccine, anything that will help me live longer. Get it done.

@susannareid100 Main thing is Susanna like many will now get the ball rolling after Sarah shared her story..well done to both for sharing. Same applies to cervical screening etc, easier to put it off than make the appt, not pleasant but important to go for it rather than wish you had!💜

@susannareid100 Queen Susanna could have avoided the extra effort if she had responded to the original invitation for a scan and also not wasted extra NHS staff time over this matter.

@susannareid100 I can't emphasise how important this is. I went for routine screening in 2021, my first since Covid. They found a stage 2 cancer. 18 months later, after chemo, an operation, Radiotherapy & ongoing medication the Cancer is gone. Please, please go & get checked. It's a lifesaver

@susannareid100 I turned 51 today and a couple of weeks ago got a letter in the post saying an appointment as been made for me on 29th this Friday. My first one. I shall be going.

@susannareid100 Dear Susanna, don't make a big deal out of it. I appreciate you had a few phone calls to make, but it is important to make those calls. Saying that, I'm in an area where you receive an appt. You may want to see if you can standardise the process. Take care

@susannareid100 I know live in Australia can’t believe mammograms in UK are every 3y that’s what my British ultrasound person told me. Australia is 2y if I had to wait 3y it would’ve been too late for me. fortunately in Australia there, right on the dot with breast screening. 1 chemo to go
