ChatGPT's BIGGEST UPDATE — Code Interpreter. Simply upload a large dataset and it will analyze it for you. It will also create charts and graphs. In seconds. Here's how to use it. Code Interpreter 101: A Video Tutorial

For this tutorial, I am using a data set by Pew Research Center. Simply go to Pew's website and download a dataset.

Now click on the plus (+) sign and upload the dataset. You don't even have to upzip it. ChatGPT will accept the zipped file. It will take ChatGPT to process the file.

Once ChatGPT has processed the file, you can start asking questions. Here I asked ChatGPT to tell me what the dataset is about.

Now you can ask ChatGPT to give you a sophisticated analysis of the dataset. It will analyze the data and also create charts and graphs for you.

Want to learn how to use AI-powered apps to supercharge your academic writing? I have a complete tutorial (250+ slides) for you. It's being used by 2,200+ academics including those at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Stanford. You can get it here:

PS: I don't work with quantitative data. But I have started learning about data science and Code Interpreter. Two scholars I recommend are: 1. Prof. Ethan Mollick (@emollick) who regularly writes about Code Interpreter. 2. Kareem Carr (@kareem_carr) who writes about data science for non-specialists.

TY!

Great. Do you know an AI that performs LMDI decomposition analysis?

I think this feature is for Plus users. Does it work for those who are not upgrading to Plus?
