I can totally relate! When I went to my last foster home I told them, “Don’t touch me. No hugging. Nothing! Just leave me alone & don’t get too attached because as soon as I turn 18 I’m out of here!” 💔

This dog is saying get away from me (IN ALL CAPS)- you will get farther with them if you let them get comfortable with you outside a shelter (over days- weeks) and let them come to you - this is not helping the dog as you are seriously not reading the body language - I love that you are trying to help but this isn't the way... (I say this as a person that has helped hundreds of feral or scared dogs in the many different situations as a vet and huge animal lover)
