God bless you miss. You know a lot of times our dad's are ignored, even by men who should know better. No one is perfect, but was it really that bad? Didn't he fulfil his responsibilities? Must he have been as likeable as your mum? Please appreciate your fathers. My greatest fear is that one day, I'll be called and told that he's gone, and I've not done anything significant for him yet. I'm afraid yes. My mum? She might most probably outlive him, aside from the evidence that is other women in society, the man is too much of a workaholic. Rest, no. It's ok from this angle Mba! The best we all did and some still doing was and is to just reduce any kind of billing or responsibility coming to him. We were raised 'military' style, the kind that if dad horns at the gate, one hero will go and open it, while the others disappear 😂😂. But getting older, we've seen the benefits of such a system, as I always told our last born. "if this man sleeps one day and doesn't wake up, na you e go pain pass, be calming down, anything wey you dey see now, I see am tripled, man wey don old small. Me wey jam am when he dey fully active nko? 😅" Appreciate your dads please, they were and are the wall that protected you, even from the things you never knew you needed protection from and they always carried out their responsibility, never wavering and never complaining. Even as big as I am, I call frequently and ask questions, I call and gist small, watch world news whick I don't really like, so I can have something to talk about with him.
