Idolatry is defined by action not just the intentions of one’s heart! While Catholics accept this practice of bowing in front of statues of Mary or saints God does not accept it, He forbids it! “so that you do not act corruptly and make a graven image for yourselves in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,” (Deuteronomy 4:16 NASB95) “You shall not act like this toward the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 12:4 NASB95) “….abstain from things contaminated by idols…” (Acts 15:20 NASB95) see also Acts 21:25 The Bible makes no distinction between pagan & Christian idols because they’re in the same category. Christ came in the flesh to restore people to a relationship with God and deliverer people from vain worship, which was given to idols. So the Catholic unknowingly is praying to devils as he prays before an image made by men’s hands! Let me say something that may sound controversial to some: God loves the Jewish people. The Bible makes that very clear. We read: “The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the Lord loves you…” (Deuteronomy 7:7–8) God’s love for Israel was not based on their size, strength, or merit. It was rooted in His sovereign choice and covenant faithfulness. The Bible itself is, in many ways, a Jewish book—written by Jewish authors, unfolding in a Jewish context, pointing to a Jewish Messiah: Jesus of Nazareth. But here’s the good news for the rest of us. Even if you’re not Jewish—if you’re a Gentile—the Scripture says you can be “grafted in” to the promises of God (Romans 11). Through faith in Christ, we become partakers of the blessings God promised. In fact, the Bible tells the story of a Roman centurion who loved the Jewish people and even built them a synagogue. He understood something about God’s work among Israel—and Jesus commended his faith. There’s a powerful lesson in that story for all of us. I talk more about it in this video.

To all these Protestants who claim you are former Catholics, and you say that the Catholic Church taught you not to read the Bible or that you should stay away from the Bible, and that you can't understand it, only the Church can, quit creating calumny and falsehoods. I have literally walked into Mass and they have Bibles out in stands. You can literally contact your diocese and they'll mail you a Bible, as well as the Catechism. I know because I've done it. Vatican II, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church, requires Christians to read the Bible, so just stop with the calumny. There are a lot of things I disagree with in the Catholic Church, but this is not one of them. So stop lying. The Catholic Church teaches to read the Bible. They have study Bibles. The Roman Catholic transubstantiated Eucharist is another Jesus! The Eucharist does not exist without the Mass. The claim that Jesus can wholly and entirely be present, even in the smallest element of a crumb (1377), is utter blasphemy, degrading the King of Kings, the Lord of Glory, down to a crumb. If Jesus is wholly present in each individual wafer, then how many Jesus's does Catholicism have? But it gets worse. They believe that by consuming their consecrated host, it actually removes sin & preserves you from sin (CCC 1393-95). In the Presbyterorum Ordinis, it says this: That, "The priests must instruct their people to offer to God the Father, the divine victim in the sacrifice of the Mass..." So they're instructing people to join to the offering of Christ on the cross their own lives. Then in the Catholic Catechism 1368 it says "...the Eucharist, the sacrifice of Christ becomes also the sacrifice of the members of his body, and that Christ's sacrifice present on the altar makes it possible for all generations of Christians to be united with his offering." The Christian does not offer themselves along with Christ on the cross. There's nothing we can do to add to the finished work of Jesus on the cross two thousand years ago. So not only is the Roman Catholic transubstantiated Eucharist blasphemy, but the entire Mass itself is heresy. The first is John’s great description of the Incarnation in his Gospel: “The Word became flesh and lived among us.” The second is the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, in bringing Christ to birth. But remember that these are not one-off events from long ago; they are ongoing events in the life of God’s people. How is Christ becoming flesh in you here and now? And how is Mary bringing him to birth in you today?

Here’s my review after reading the Gospel of Thomas 😊 Background: Gospel of Thomas is one of the books found by farmers in old clay jars in Egypt in 1945. When the ancient Coptic writing style was compared to writing styles over the years, experts determined the book was likely written between the years 100 and 200 CE. Over the centuries, ancient Christians had quoted Gospel of Thomas here and there, but a full copy of the book had been lost until the 1945 discovery. The book is said to have been written by Doubting Thomas, the disciple of Jesus. Of course the copy found in Egypt was likely translated from Thomas’ original writing some years after he wrote it. After reading it myself, I was shocked to find how very many of the sayings are in the Bible. It is a book of parables only, not the full story of Jesus. Some of the parables in Thomas are not in the Bible. I’ve heard from Christians who are scared to read something about Jesus that’s not in the Bible. When I hear that, I always think of the last verse of the Book of John which says: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” So John makes clear that Jesus’ whole story is not in the Bible. How delightful, after telling God I’d love to learn more of Jesus’ story, that I come across these sayings.😊🙏🏼 What’s your take?

Alex is right. Many of these people call themselves Christians & yet hate Jews. You wonder how the reconcile that with worshipping a Jewish messiah whom they learned about in a book written by Jews. They are replacement theologists meaning they believe anytime you see “Jew” or “Israel” in the Bible, you must replace those words with “the Church” because God is supposedly done with Jews. This is obviously ignores Romans 11 which tells us Jewish rejection of Christ is only temporary & that Jews will come to Christ when the “number of gentiles is fulfilled” as a part of God continuing & covenant with Jews. Beware of these so called Christians. They are now aiding the Islamic takeover of the west.

Alex is right. Many of these people call themselves Christians & yet hate Jews. You wonder how the reconcile that with worshipping a Jewish messiah whom they learned about in a book written by Jews. They are replacement theologists meaning they believe anytime you see “Jew” or “Israel” in the Bible, you must replace those words with “the Church” because God is supposedly done with Jews. This is obviously ignores Romans 11 which tells us Jewish rejection of Christ is only temporary & that Jews will come to Christ when the “number of gentiles is fulfilled” as a part of God continuing & covenant with Jews. Paul goes on to warn Christians (who are grafted in branches) not to boast & look down on Jews (the original branches) for their unbelief lest you LOSE your own salvation. Yes. God Word’s not mine so be careful. 2. You can NOT be a Christian & be against the existence of Israel because it means you are directly working against God’s Will, Plan & purpose for Israel in the last days. That land is part of a Covenant God made with the NATURAL descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. A covenant the Bible says is irrevocable & everlasting. That DOES NOT mean the fake straw man argument put out by dishonest people like Tucker, that it means you support the secular Israeli government & all they do, is true.
