Man, people really don’t understand how much this scene meant to Dragon Ball fans like me growing up. People always ask why I’m so attached to Gohan, and this is exactly why. When we were kids watching this, we didn’t just see Gohan. We saw ourselves in him. To us, this was Gohan. This scene is easily one of the most iconic moments in all of Dragon Ball, and honestly, if Super Saiyan didn’t exist, this would be the most iconic scene, no question.
Watch out, before Faulcouner fans ruined this.

It still gives me goosebumps, same as watching it in Spanish on a postage stamp sized clip with RealPlayer back in 1998 on a CRT monitor, and now watching it at four times that size on the phone in front of my face.

Dbz would be the perfect anime if it ended with goku dead and Gohan surpassing him, which was hinted from the beggining. Its like choosing to write stories of Jesus after he sacrificed himself to forgive all humaity sins.
Another good one to post would be the original JP Trunks debt as well with that score. Absolutely perfect.
