What you are admitting is the bias in the polling toward the B1G and SEC. ESPN inflates the FPI early slanted toward SEC and some B1G. This impacts SOS, and ranked wins early. There is only ONE fair way for this to be a REAL CFB playoff and not an ESPN invitational. EVERY FBS Conference Champion is auto-bid. That leaves 7 slots for wildcards in the 16 team model. That is the ONLY way it will be a REAL championship. The SEC, B1G and all the “P4” conferences already have an internal playoff. It is called the REGULAR SEASON!!!!

@joelklatt This is so dumb it’s insane. 4/4/2/2 model would require that the big 12 and acc just roll over and admit that they aren’t in the same tier and will never be in the same tier as the SEC and Big10 which is.. bad for the sport and bad for the big12 and acc.
