Anthony Volpe is perfect for high-IQ plays like this. They actually teach this on the fields of Delbarton High School, and, unfortunately, the Yankees refuse to call the kid up. Josè Caballero is good, but plays like this are above his pay grade. Brian Cashman’s ego is too big to do the right thing. They'd rather fail with their flawed process. Sad.
