This is super staged. I did a lot of gold panning when I was a kid- you’d find a bit of dust and maybe a flake if you were lucky. This is more like the yield of a gold mine and breaking down tons of rock and ore. It would take a TON of dirt to get that much gold, not a scoop.

BS. Firstly, gold doesn't sit on the top of a riverbed like that, it sinks down to bedrock. Secondly, that dirt is going at about 170oz to the ton.

BS. You do not take the silt and find gold, you dig deeper in the gravel underneath the silt. But it's Asia, and you can't trust any videos from there.

@CommunityNotes this is a salted pan. Gold is the heaviest material in that sand, it would be just before the bedrock layer in a river bend, not in the top layer of sand in a straight away.
