GoldenEye 64 running natively on MacOS. This is a dev preview, in alpha, and there's a reasonable list of bugs that remain. The priority has been iOS, but enough people asked for this to work that I've taken a crack at it. It's available to download if you want... show more

GoldenEye 007 N64 running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Not an emulator. The GoldenEye decompilation community spent years reconstructing the original game. GoldenEye64Recomp, N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, and RT64 provided the static recompilation, runtime, and rendering foundations. I built GoldenPad on top: the iPhone and iPad app, touch interface, native audio and saves, controller support, and the mobile lifecycle work needed to make it run on real devices. It runs great on iPhone. GoldenEye runs better through GoldenPad than it has in any N64 emulator I have tried on iOS. Native ARM64 code, high-resolution Metal rendering, and modern dual-stick controls make a huge difference. No JIT, no N64 code being interpreted at runtime, and no streaming from a Mac. This is the original 1997 N64 game, not the XBLA version, and it is not based on GoldenEye Metal. I am actively working on full local split-screen multiplayer for iPad. MacOS support soon. I built the iOS and iPadOS integration with 5.6 Sol. Open sourcing it all below. Happy Friday!

Nyxian is a iOS app that lets you create iOS apps on iOS it self without a jailbreak or trollstore. You just need a certificate. 😄 Nyxian 0.3 Nightsky(Alpha) is out! Fixes a lot of bugs, threading and adds LLD as the new better linker. Get it on:

WE'RE APPROVED! DRAFTYCAR is now available on iOS and Android and Career Mode is now in early access! iOS: Android: What a 1.5 year journey it has been... 🛠️ this is definitely not the final form of this app. I'm a VERY part-time solo dev, take it easy on me in the reviews and please report any game breaking bugs! Shout out to all of the beta testers, my wife for letting me spend my evenings doing this... and Brandon Kettelle Southwest Florida Realtor for spotting everyone! It will only get better from here!

Nyxian a fully on-device iOS FOSS native code IDE that works on nonjailbroken latest iOS gets soon support for Swift 6.3 using the latest iOS SDK! Stay tuned🔥🔥 make sure to follow Kyle Ye and AppInstaller iOS, without them this wouldn’t be possible (yes appinstaller didn’t actively help on Nyxian 0.10 but the technique he used in FridaCodeManager helped Nyxian!)

Well, it has happened. Ghostty on macOS now has search. This is now in tip releases, I'm certain there's a bunch of polish and bugs to work through over the next months, but more than enough time for it to be rock solid for 1.3 next year. GTK to follow soon. Gobble, gobble. 🦃🦃

The Terminal app, which is signed by AppleInternal, is currently operational on production iOS version 26.1. There’s potential for it to enable the installation of TrollStore on iOS versions 16.7RC and 17.0 without the need for a PC. Developer Duy Tran has indicated that this functionality should support iOS 16 all the way up to the latest version. Additionally, older versions of the Terminal app are available, with compatibility extending back to iOS 14.0. Vid By: Duy Tran

Introducing luma for iOS 26, now with Liquid Glass. Stunning, but it's far more than what meets the eye. It also *works* better. The team put in a lot of thoughts into every little detail, and we think you are going to love it ™ Check it out:

Claude released a new design feature that's great for iOS app design. So I extracted the code and skills and turned it into a skill that can be used by any agent. Since Codex has comments and web preview built in... it works basically the same. (Oh and you can use claude 4.7 if you think it's better at design)

VERY COOL!! Thanks jordan for the tip, I can now test my iOS app on web I asked Claude Code to set up serve-sim, a web-based iOS simulator that can stream the iOS app my Claude Code on VPS built live to me, because it's on some Mac Mini in the cloud without even a GUI (it's headless) I cannot actually try it on the Mac itself! Before Claude would make me a page with screenshots but I had no idea how the app felt, now with this it works This is hosted on the Mac Mini via SSH (it shows localhost but it's a tunnel via SSH to the Mac Mini), bit laggy but nice!

Update on the iOS emulator 🔥 We’ve been deep into acceleration work lately, and the performance is already very promising for an emulated iOS18. Still cooking, but we’re getting close to sharing it with you. And more is coming with iOS26. #ios #emulation

Work-in-progress: a new split layout framework for nearly all Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, etc.). A mix of SwiftUI and raw CoreAnimation. The goal is "every frame perfect" animation. Still very wip, but getting there! Goal is to bring it back to Ghostty eventually.

⚠️ Hey all, this is really important to iPhone/iPad users only: ⚠️ - There's a crash and while we work on a fix for that, here's the workaround for you: - Rotate your device during the Loading Screen (I know, it somehow works) - OR take a screenshot of the game during the Loading Screen - OR slide down to device settings (to access flashlight, brightness, airplane mode, etc) - You can also try to update your iOS to 17 if it's available for you - Because of that, we are also adding a Legendary Starr Drop in the shop for everyone We are also disabling the sharing Replays feature for the time being as there's another bug related it For Android players: go Brawl! 🔥 Sorry for the inconvenience caused 🙏

Mario Kart 64, running natively on iOS and iPad, with touch controls designed for racing. The Mario Kart 64 decompilation community spent years reconstructing the original game code in C. Harbour Masters turned that into SpaghettiKart, the source port. I built the iOS layer on top. Not an emulator. The game code is compiled for ARM64 and renders through Metal. Your ROM is only used to generate the asset archive, on device. No N64 hardware being simulated, no streaming from a Mac. It isn't limited to the N64's original output resolution, and MK64 Reloaded's HD pack replaces the original artwork on top of that. That's the pack running in the video. Steering is genuinely analog, not left and right taps. Separate layouts for iPad and iPhone, and optional tilt steering. Pair a Bluetooth controller and it takes over. Four-player selection works and two-player split screen runs. Two other public SpaghettiKart iOS builds exist, Sunset-Dawn's and rebelancap's. Both install on an iPad. Neither was built around one. SpaghettiPad is. I built the iOS integration with Codex 5.6 Sol. Repo, guide, and IPA below.

made a twrp-themed iphone recovery lol, this is not actual twrp, its for ios, running on xnu, but it is running in a ramdisk without a dsc, so I had to manually bringup the touch controller, and init other hardware, for this to work. What should I add to this?

Pokémon Stadium, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Pokémon has been all over X this week because of Gen1Recomp. That made me want to bring the original Pokémon Stadium to iPhone and iPad. Not an emulator. The game has been statically recompiled and rebuilt as a native ARM64 app rendering directly through Metal. No N64 hardware being simulated, no ROM interpreted at runtime, no streaming from a Mac. And it is more than a new way to play it. AnnePad fixes several of the crackle and audio-timing problems that crop up when Pokémon Stadium is emulated. I genuinely think it is the best way to play the original game today. Pair a Bluetooth controller and play the whole thing. Touch works too, and multiplayer. I used Codex 5.6 Sol to build the Apple layer. Open sourcing it all below.

Ocarina of Time, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Not an emulator. Ship of Harkinian has run on Windows, Linux, macOS, Switch, Wii U, and Android. Never iOS. Now it runs on iPad, with iPhone in the build too. The game was decompiled to C and rebuilt as a native ARM64 app rendering through Metal. No N64 hardware being simulated, no ROM interpreted at runtime, no streaming from a Mac. It isn't stuck at the N64's 240p and 20fps. Widescreen, full resolution, 60fps. This game deserves a controller, so controller support is native. Pair a Bluetooth controller and play the whole thing. Touch, keyboard, and mouse work too. I used Codex 5.6 Sol to build the iOS layer. Open sourcing it all below.

Super Mario Galaxy running natively on iOS for the first time. GalaxyPad builds on ExpansionPak’s recompilation work, with Dolphin providing the Wii runtime and Metal renderer. Galaxy’s PowerPC game code is compiled ahead of time into native ARM64. That lets it run on iPhone and iPad without a jailbreak or a separate step to enable JIT, the runtime compilation Apple normally restricts on iOS. Dolphin still handles the Wii hardware environment. It also runs on iPadOS and Apple silicon Macs. It’s been mostly stable on my iPad at 2× internal resolution, and it looks great. I’m still working on making the iPhone version more stable. Astra helped bring the GalaxyPad integration to this point. Repo and details below.
