He doesn't understand what trade deficits are and is tanking our economy. You can call it whatever you want but it's been a pretty disastrous first 100 days.

Short: Well, I was in the oval office when he had his three finalist candidates. And his his question was who's going to keep rates lowest? And the consensus was that Powell would. And so here we are years later. And he's concerned that Powell doesn't have rates even lower. I'm not one of these who believes that the fed is sacrosanct and isn't worthy of criticism. And I think that when we created a fed, it didn't have 7 or $8 trillion in assets on its books. And so I think the president has every right to criticize. But I think everybody can see through this that this is really pushing to try to lower interest rates further, more than it is a serious criminal investigation. As you said, the reception from senate Republicans has been really cold, and I think you'll probably see the president probably pivot…

And so I think we’ve already seen others since 2020, like Kari Lake in Arizona and many others, try to say, “Well, if I lost, it must be because it was made up.” And that’s just not the case. When you lose fair and square, you have to understand that that’s what happened, and we have to respect the will of voters. And the reason is he is potentially implicated in these files and he has to come to terms with that. He may have to answer some questions himself. The reality is the UK is doing far more. I think that the king can hold his head high when he comes here saying: I am doing the most that I can. While here in the United States, our president has yet to even do even remotely the same. And survivors and the people are very disappointed in that.

And every time he’s done that, it has been consistent with a spike or a revelation in what is happening with the Epstein files. I think that he feels existentially tied to it. And I actually think that it is one reason that he must be removed from office, because if the Epstein files have such a hold on President Trump and this administration that they are willing to plunge us and risk world war in order to save themselves politically, that is the definition of someone who cannot make objective decisions for the American people.
