@SafeStreetRebel Every pedestrian and cyclist should carry an "everything brick" (or ten) for the countless times that car drivers endanger us every day.

@carltonreid I used to own a foam rubber "prop" brick from the gift shop at Universal Studios. It was lightweight but very convincing. Product idea: a cellphone case that looks just like a brick.

In my book, I proposed the Balaclava Conjecture: "the more bad-ass, unpredictable, or dangerous a cyclist looks, the more room drivers will give him." I doubt drivers will bother a cyclist carrying a baseball bat.
