Cops are always looking for trouble, if you aren’t doing anything wrong then why can’t people video tape you?

This sort of thing has been pulled on me, for far less cause. Most likely scenario: What they're doing is not entirely above board. What they're trying to pull on him works only if he's parked a car, registered in his name, in the parking lot. ... even if he has, so what?

You can record the police as long as you are not hindering their investigation. I don’t know why that is so hard to understand for lots of police officers. You are a public servant. Citizens should be able to record. Period. I was a police officer for 11 years. No issue with it.
