"Treating a café like tradesmen treat their customers": you order a flat white, they say "yeah I'll be with you in two hours", come back four days later, and charge you extra because the cup "wasn't accessible." The cafe didn't quote you for the small cup then bring the big one and charge for both. The cafe didn't take a deposit for your coffee and then go dark for six weeks.

The supermarket isnt going to give the top half of the bun today, a week later the bottom half. weeks later the bacon and eggs price goes up in the meantime, and they nick half the bacon. Nor they have to price in for the cost of theft by the staff so they can make their own.

Trying to get the cheapest qoute is pretty reasonable
