I agree—fathers teaching sons and daughters is critical. I loved teaching firearm safety, and we had a rule in my house—if the kids found one outside of the safes, I would pay them $300. I never paid out, and they are both excellent shots. I threw people off my range for even thinking of being unsafe. It is about respect.

Firearms are not the problem.

Taught both my kids proper firearm safety since they were little and reinforced as they grew older. They know those are tools and a weapon and require responsible use.

Mom busted in the room early in the morning and slapped a .357 in my hand and told me to get the porcupine out in the yard. I was 7. In the cold dew covered grass in nothing more than my Fruit of the Looms, I handled business. 😋

Teach your children about firearms when they are young.

Oh, please! Stop! Just stop! Do you actually expect a parent to raise their child responsibly? That is such a 20th-century way of thinking. 🤣😂

good job. My grandfather taught us at a young age at his hunting camp. Best to learn at an early age.
